Spent a fun Sunday afternoon with an old shootin Buddy Tim Findlay breaking in the refurbed range. Tim brought over two new firearms to test and sight, a Sig Sauer 938 9mm and an absolutely gorgeous Winchester Low Wall Single Shot 223. I was shooting my old Winchester Model 52 bench gun 22 and the Christensen Arms Ranger 22 that I have just upgraded the trigger on with a Timney Hit Trigger and man it is nice. After working my ass off around here all summer it sure was great to have some fun. Al Some pics below, Tim with his Winchester Low Wall , the Sig 938, the Model 52 and the Ranger.

And I'm sure lots of people will claim ignorance and for a couple yrs, all the scum will be given is a warning because the law is too new.

I remember it being talked about a few years ago and it never went anywhere. Maybe this time it will.

I really hope NY goes to the purple paint law. I've said for many years it makes sense. And for such a tree hugging state, I'm surprised they haven't implemented it yrs ago.

Never heard of it either, if established and being well known as a law it sure would be a heck of a lot easier than tacking up signs. Al

Me along with one of my Sons and buddy Tim got at it again yesterday. Tim had his Low Wall 223 again with some new loads, my Son Mike shot his 1895 High Wall 45-70 and I brough out the Thompson Center Encore with the 458 Win Mag barrel and the new Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in 6.5 PRC. The Caldwell Lead Sled with 50 lbs of lead shot holding her down earned it's keep, Son's 45-70 with curved metal buttplate and stiff handloads and that light Encore 458 mag had their recoil tamed down, both are brutal from the bench off regular bags. Got the 6.5 PRC sighted in with the handloaded 123 gr Hornady SSTs and even with that pencil thin barrel it shot great, I am more than pleased. It was a good day. Al

What is not to like on this one? Great family participation, some actual hunting for a change and not sitting in some tree house or stand with all the comforts of home. Woolrich PA tuxedos, Savage 99s, Bean Boots, Mannlicher stocked rifles. Good job Tim. Al

Hands down the best solution

New Hunter score on this doe. It was perfect doe without fawns . He was supper excited. Doe was taking in 8N . Giving God at the glory.

With all the shooting going on I thought the local Turkeys would get out of Dodge but apparently they get used to the gunfire, they were out scratching around on the range not long after a session. I saw another hen out there with a single poult. Al
