  1. It's tough to consistely kill coyotes in the north easy without hound hunting them.
  2. I use lithium in all my cameras, sometimes when I grab my cams they still have some juice and I move those cameras to places I'm gonna be checking regularly like for turkeys or waterfoul, and put fresh ones in the ones that are really gonna soak. Cell cams run on partial solar and you can leave em alone for a long time. These voskers are bullet proof and the system that comes with them is pretty great.
  3. I have 40+ miles in since January 1st.... its a grind just like hunting. The difference for me is I hunt deer in travel corridors between bedding and food, or bedding and bedding. I hunt sheds in food and bedding, it's important also to see the difference between "day beds" and primary bedding and where I hunt, the bucks don't spend time with does unless its a really hot food source. Many sheds I find on a few sets of good tracks and buck sign and nothing else. Not these huge trails with multiple size foot prints into fields.
  4. The gun is badass like that dude, the gun yells that when he shoots! It recoils solid bit not terrible like my turkey gun. Lol
  5. I have shot a few, they are really dependable, I never saw a lack in accuracy, and you look like Hannibal Smith. It at least comes in .308 if not larger.
  6. I have a buddy who got the 450 beowolf in AR platform, after messing with some loads it cycles really well and is a nasty round.
  7. They love those pump 3006, I think they call them the overland special?
  8. I cant give up my life for rich arrogant clowns. Sports are meant to be played not watched. I'm also over people being disrespectful to our flag. September is meant to be in a blind near some cut crops and October is meant to be in a stand waiting for a deer to walk by.
  9. I personally think the price will drop even harder on all markets just like the rest of the country and it becomes a regular commodity. If you lived in ithaca they have been smoking in public for years.
  10. So then.... " I just started blasting"
  11. There hasn't been any money in this in ny in years. Legalizing it removed the true profits, hopefully the tax revenue will go to our state and not the politicians..... probably have a better chance hitting the devil in the ass with a snow ball in hell on 4th of July though.
  12. Lol, it's usually very small number of incidents, we were just lucky to have less this year. I'll drink to that.
  13. I hunt with a couple brothers who mouth call, pretty cool
  14. It happens, Yesterday I did 4 miles and only found 1 old deadhead I already found once 2 years ago. Lol
  15. Is that a musky? Susquehanna? fish like that need there slime, if you are going to release them try to keep them wet, or use a cradle. They taste sweet but a little bony.
  16. Wow, that's impressive. It seems like it's kinda the same as lightning, once you hit one it's a magnetic situation after that. I know a couple other people that have hit multiple and then some people never come close.
  17. The direct line is good for strong fish and it seems like line lasts longer, definitely harder to reel in biggies on spinning outfits. I buy 5+ to 1 reel ratios. Wouldn't pursue big fish on spinning outfit unless I had to.
  18. What about renters? Imo this will be hard to sort out in our country.
  19. I started poking around, 7 springs is already sold out as far as I can tell...
  20. So many great companies out there. Primos have been around for a long time and have some good stuff at fair prices. It's more about techniques than it is call manufacturers. Every design has a specific use or sound intention, but practice is key. I highly recommend playing sounds from live recordings and trying to duplicate that sound. I called almost daily for most of an entire year and even now there is a call with me everyday. I buy the same shape diaphragm calls from lots of different companies. I just know where my air passes over my tongue and that there is a difference of sound based on reeds stacks between 1 and 4 or even 5. Shane Simpson has a starter pack and calling videos for all levels, most of them are on YouTube. I keep a box call for windy days to locate birds but seems like I do just as well with a crispy fresh sanded slate for long.distance. Pot calls have different sounds based on materials, I carry 1 slate, 1 glass, And 1 that is waterproof. I don't use hand calls much anymore because you can't use your hands to shoot them in the face when your running a call. Also you have to switch it up a d sometimes fir many different reasons birds respond differently to different calls.
