As far as I can tell they wreak havoc on the turkeys. I started seeing thier tracks where I turkey hunt 5 or 6 years ago.. Its the only animal we have locally that can catch a grey Squirrel in a tree. I am not a fan. Last spring I watched one hide under a big roost and wait for them to come down.... lucky for me the turkeys knew that also and flew off. I then proceeded to call them back around and shoot one of the toms in its stupid ugly face. Was neat experience but an eye opener. If blackbelliedBill is reading this likely these are also responsible for declining population of birds and I also wonder why I cant shoot them on sight in any season.

I think both, either way you still have to be between food and bedding. I watch the wind and find that when the wind switches between west and east and west the deer really make moves, im guessing because they bed on wind determined locations.

Exaxtly. Rubber gloves and cover your liscence plate. Even better weapon vehicle, pickup vehicle and nuisance permits. Lol this is getting creepy. In all honesty my local dec guy has extended an invite to me on some smaller parcels to hunt does that need management. I haven't taken him up on the offer but I think I will in the future. Our sub urban area has doe managment but the lease that i was part of would seem our current doe to buck ratio is getting balanced 2 to 1. We didn't kill as many there this year. So ask your local eco if there are places in your area like this. Go green!!!

Best place to find available lease

Here's some of it. I grew up in it. Spent my life hunting and hiking it and I know its pressured less then my lease. If you understand how to scout and hunt at the same time it only takes a couple seasons to start killing and seeing lots of game. I will say it gets more competitive during gun season but usually you can just hunt around the other hunters. You never have to sit the same stand twice. Check out swamp-bucks posts he gets it. -

Let's make hunting camp, ill show you thousands upon thousands of acres of basically unpressured land. We can build camp or get permits to be there for weeks at a time. -

Summer hill or bear swamp, you already make the payments. -

I've always been taught still hunting is moving slowly and cautiously while protecting yourself from the wind and exposing yourself to your prey, could also be referred to as stalking. Sitting is sitting, may be you could call it ambush hunting. I think this is all Symantec, just dont road ride and blast them out the window, and dont shoot them on land where your not supposed to be. Unpressured means they dont know your there to me imo, if you have bumped them or left your scent in the woods they are not unpressured. You may have less pressure than other places, but that definitely doesn't mean that they don't know your there.

Still-hunt bedding. What you see on the camera is a fact. The struggle is real. If you want to kill deer food sources on the coldest day may work, they may bed move around on sun facing slopes, however if you want to kill mature deer they are very difficult to get moving in daylight.

You can stretch it out now I stand on it and pull it back out or clamp it to my work table and pull it in all directions. Stretching it would be nice but I never want to put holes in them. Also I always end up popping the end of the tail off. -

My b-bads are just starting to do it. I dont know if its my favorite breed but I do love them.

I agree driving is necessary and even fun, however I like the drivers sneaking through the cover very thoroughly, I think it gives the deer less time to react and they make more hasty decisions last minute about their intended exit routes. Often times the drivers get a chance to kill deer also.
