Only hunt it on good wind and really bad weather. You may have to move the blind a long ways off and only hunt it with a rifle or quality inline. Its tough to hunt inside of bedding. They feel safe there for a reason. Many pressured deer are nocturnal right now, especially bucks.

I was there a few years ago during bear season and I saw dogs everywhere. We were running them over literally with the guide trucks. So many.

I'm not touching this one with a white claw.

Sew those holes up wet. I use orange bottle also,, follow directions exactly. I always have the holes too. I really enjoy these reminders of my adventures. -
What happened? A few months have passed? Are you still on the mend?

I usually find some in January, any other bone collectors out there?

Thank you for this. Its an inspiration

Hes probably moving in daylight a couple times a year.... may be not very far from his bed. If I knew where he was sleeping I would try to shoot him to death in his sleep where his stupid face lays down every day.

40 year old rotisserie....

I have been very fortunate in the meat department but I never want to stop hunting. The Tompkins County doe management zone never let's us down. Collectively 10 of us have filled the meat bank. We did resort to lots of drives and I feel like that blows the bucks out. Ill be leaving the lease now probably for the rest of season. Bone chaser for 2 tags, now that you guys have straitened me out with the facts Ill be hiking biggest ridges furthest from human pressure. May be ill be celebrating some bones with a couple white claws.

Sad but true

I'm trying to restore deer camp in our life. When bucks were scared doe tags came with 4 signatures and Genesee beer filled the recycling can. I remember skipping the first day of school and waiting for my family to return at lunch to hear the stories of the biggest bucks killed. Never ending good food and talk about the one that got away. Most of my inspiration to hunt came from the opening week hunting camp adventures. Truck scouting in the evenings and watching big cruising bucks run around and never breaking a law just enjoying the time together. After my father died I put his racks on my shop wall. These are the adventures that helped shape my desire to be a hunter.

Bow is alot cheaper for sure. I buy ammo by the case and expensive stuff i just shoot a 3 round group or even check my gun on a shot while walking back to the car.

Anytime my optics are nonfunctionaly loose or if it is working improperly after I make adjustments I would only feel comfortable if I shot it again. I also shoot all my weapons regularly... bow weekly minimum, and firearems almost daily. I swear by the old statement "shoot more, shoot more often".

Up to 100 years ago wild game was destroyed by over hunting. Our preservation attempts are successful and working. If your not seeing deer your aren't hunting in the place where they live, it is not for lack of population. Urban fringes are great places for herd survival so I would focus there if your looking to kill more deer. Central NY is loaded with deer, state land around ithaca and Binghamton is very good hunting with little pressure and high deer population.

Find new land. Train is headed into Drama central station. This is common and you have to make your own decisions on how you want to pursue legally. I eat 4 deer a year easily and also give 2 deer a year to my uncle and great uncle who can no longer hunt. Not every one is all good or all bad.

We are gonna do it again many times hopefully. I just rolled up a big piece of fence in a circle and threaded some brush through it. It turned out pretty sweet.

I'm willing to admit I'm wrong. Even if I am confused

My bad I can shoot 2 bucks in late season with ml?
-
You can't use regular season tags in late season. Your welcome to use them but my green buddies will be welcome to write you the tickets. Obviously your like me free for the day to blow up the forum, my only thought is why do you ask for help and opinions if you dont really want to be open to them?

Tree stand. Lol high up in a climber.

I've seen does kick their babies in the face in pre rut so I think everyone will be fine. I also shoot all size deer if the the freezer calls for it. Herd animals always look for eachother but it also could be her evading predation.
