  1. Nice placement of the cam!
  2. For your first project, awesome! Looking forward to your next film. The sound was ok but the voice was very low, I had to have the volume on max to hear your voice. Good luck on the next one.
  3. Funny how many thought weeds where bad but this proves how beneficial some types are to the soil! Very interesting!
  4. FYI in GM cars that I use to work on the resume acceleration button would do this if it gets stuck in the on position. IF the vehicle has cruise control I would disconnect the linkage to the throttle and disable it. With the exception of the throttle sticking, this is one of the few things that can accelerate the gas pedal.
  5. Some consider any pictures of game on a trail "cheating" so who is to say what is considered fair chase. If I know a doe goes to the same field every day with a trail cam then I did not do very much to "hunt" that animal. I think trail cams are fun but give a advantage most hunters would never have unless they stayed in the woods at all times which is impossible. Drones and MMS take that advantage to the limits and should be banned during hunting season. Technology advances every day. What about a drone with a gun? Then the drone can be programed to cut up and deliver your meat? LOL
  6. Happy the fines went up but most poachers will not care until they are caught. Poachers suck!!!
  7. I am with Grampy on this one. I had a 13 ft python I sold almost 20 years ago so snakes are not a big issue or spiders but I really hate ticks or any parasite for that matter.
  8. As stewards of the land the only thing we can do is lead by example. Documenting your trash pick up will make more aware of the subject. Sounds like we need a trash pick up thread to show not only how bad our woods can get but the fact that we as hunters and outdoors men and women are the keepers of the land and that we respect it and clean it better than anyone. No one will ever protect the lands as well we can and do. Lets document it in pictures!
  9. Happy Birthday! Many many more!
  10. God Bless this great country and the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. God Bless our troops guarding our freedom today, amen.

God Bless! I hope you have many many more years with your family. Every day is a gift but I do not have to tell you that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!
  12. I was reading this about a month ago. Upsetting to say the least.
  13. I had that happen to a car when I was young. The throttle linkage on the carburetor got stuck wide open. Just be very careful with the ignition switch and do not turn the steering wheel while you turn it off because if it locks on you sometimes it is hard to get it unlocked! If that happened to me I would have tried stomping the gas pedal then the brake alternatively, then if that failed ignition. Wow Grow! Glad you are ok!!!
  14. That's tough, hope you get access again! Good luck!
  15. Classic example of its ok for us to do this, but not you. Almost like assault rifles. OK for us to shoot you with one but you can not own one.
  16. Welcome aboard! Great site, enjoy! http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/hunting.html This is the DEC web site, they have a good site with much information. If you are confused about something or have something specific you want to ask just post the question on this forum and it will be answered. Any legal questions and you can post here or call the DEC for the region you plan to hunt. Our state has many regulations from traveling with ammo and gun separate, no loaded fire arms while traveling and other things that might get you into trouble if you are not familiar. Great bunch of knowledgeable people on this site and they are very helpful. If we can not figure out a question we will contact the DEC to find the answer. Good luck and welcome aboard! Great to have you!
  17. What if your a typical fisherman who post stuff you really did not catch! LOL Some story tellers have to fake some things to stay relevant. What about this fish you caught in Black lake? "I was working that day. I just posted the pic and a story for fun. lol and you though a fisherman would not lie or photo shop a fish for fun?" Just a thought...
  18. Good luck, hope you have a great trip!
  19. Close to post #4. Great book! Another favorite!
  20. I use true glow sights. They work great for open sights. Otherwise a really good scope that gathers good light in low light conditions will work with the spot light. Leupold makes some good ones that are in the 500$ plus range. A 40 mm objective or better is great for light gathering with 50 being good for night. These are basic scopes but they are top of the line and side by side comparison proves it and you can still use it during the day.
  21. I think they are so simple minded that it's just programed into them where to go and instinct takes over where to nest. Looking forward to your pics Jeremy K!
  22. True but I figured some early ones would drop especially on LI where they seem to breed early. Not exactly easy to find or see for the first two weeks unless you are looking for them or almost stumble upon them.
