Never throw out your old flares. In an emergency use them first. Nothing wrong with having old flares on a boat or in a car, they last longer than the expiration date and are great as extra's when the time is needed.

First job was a paper route then a busboy, dish washer, worked at a food market stocking shelves and working with the butchers. After high school, 9+ years as a auto tech, 3 more as a service advisor/assistant manager, Computer field tech/repair and cable installation 14 years.

I need the GPS location!!! J/K Wow sounds like a really nice place Phade! Now think about that place for a moment. Think about the topography, roads, rivers other natural boundaries. Forest or farm lands, crops, water source, oaks, apple or beachnuts? Bedding area? Why do you think that area gets so much action? Major trails? Easy access from one area to another? Food source? I am just curious as to what makes this land so attractive to the deer. Or it might just be an area with high density like we have in Suffolk areas?

Shot a 265, not a very good showing but it was enough for 3rd place with a 267 average. I was the best of the worst, lol. Had some fun and some good food. Purchased a lantern from LL Bean. Small lantern uses 4 AA but nice when you just need some light to get the other lights on!

I find it funny how we as hunters have different points of view on many things. I believe perspective takes a big part in our views. I understand the circle of life but seeing a deer die in front of you is a little different under these circumstances. Mother Nature can be cruel and hard but you get use to it after seeing death so often. Does not mean one of those will not tug at your heart. Your hard core Joe, like that was unexpected, lol.

The last winter shoot is tomorrow, with all this rain and warm weather it is going to be a wet course! I have been able to work on my form this week so I am hoping to shoot well if my back and neck will cooperate! Bad weather revives old and new injuries now!

That is a crazy looking mount! Adult male lions do hunt especially when out patrolling but as the lazy cats they are taking from the female is easer than hunting for themselves. They are much larger than the females. Nice mount Dinsdale! Love the color on the legs and the coat is pretty cool, O and the horns are impressive!

Yes when game gets over 800lbs I want a mag. You can use your 308. I would consider my 30-06 slightly under powered for game that large but would use it if I had to. And yes I know I can kill them with a bow but I would rather knock them down vs chasing them for miles to get another shot to finish the job because the first shot was not perfect just like he showed in this video with two shots on the bear.

Interesting, I can understand a regional approach and in some areas by county if needed but every one doing what they feel is needed is not exactly a good method unless they all collaborate together.
