Thanks for all the input! I'm in the process of having signs made up and I think I'll have my full address put on them, not just town and State.

The DEC website states that your name and address need to be on the sign. Does this mean street address, town, state and zip code, or is town and state enough?

I heard 2 shots this morning at 6:15. No sightings. I saw 2 yesterday going to work.

It took 2 weeks to get my DMP from the online application. All ready to go!

Pop up blinds are great! If your able to set it up brush it in and leave it there for the season. It takes a while for deer to get use to it. They help keep you protected from the elements and help conceal your movement.

I fell in love with my Muck Arctic Pros. My feet always get cold but I was very surprised how these boots kept them warm. I always use toe warmers as a standard when the temp drops. Last year in Missouri I even survived -20 days while wearing them. -
Last year the birds were all fired up on Memorial Day weekend through mid June. Every year is different! Good luck!

"Snowshoe Lodge" Due to the crazy amount of Snowshoe Hares that use to inhabit the 53 acre parcel. I haven't seen a hare there in 20 years.

On Thursday I had 2 hens and a longbeard in front of the house. The next morning he was gobblin on roost. I heard another off in the distance.

I left one of my Moultrie M-100 out all winter and I just retrieved it today. The batteries were put in it in July 2013. I'm not sure how many pics were actually taken on the batteries, I'm guessing about 1,500. The camera still says 175days of battery life left! Worth every penny!

I have a farmer down the road who spreads manure in my field and he cuts and bales it 2 or 3 times a year. No money exchanges hands. He gets hay and I have a nice lush field that I don't have to cut. Win win for everyone!

I have a private snowmobile trail that runs through my property. Sometime between Sunday afternoon and Tuesday morning some sled tracks showed up. What do I do? Talk with local clubs to prevent this or just close the trail for the year. I don't have an issue with people using it and I don't want to punish all, but deer season takes a preference on land I own.
