Got an email ad that showed that Runnings in having a tax free weekend at their stores . What they do is charge you tax on your purchases and then subtract the tax amount as a discount . Sounds great but then it's only an 8 percent off on purchases which is better than a stick in the eye !

We get a variety of birds and I feed them sun flower seeds and Suet .

I'm an old fan of Homer and Jethro !

There were several Robins in the back yard the other day before the snow started . I guess a lot of them don't go south for the winter .

I have a snow rake and if it builds up too much , I may get the rake out and pull some down . I have done that the past few years . When the snow drops 10 - 12 feet it packs and is even a pain to try to move with the snow blower . If the snow is the heavy stuff and deep , it can be quite heavy .

Been keeping the bird feeders filled . We have had a lot of Red Cardinals show up . A few times between 8 and 10 have been at the feeders . The females look pretty chubby . I have only seen a few around the past couple months but they are showing up in full force the past couple days . Blackbirds have also been showing up . Got a couple of them today . They are Bully Birds and bully the other birds at the feeders .

I went out in the middle of my yard and measured 10" of snow depth . No bad . There is a lot of snow accumulated on the roof but it's the light stuff .

Maybe I can get the neighbor to plow my driveway ..........

I don't need to go anywhere but plan to go out in a few minutes to keep the driveway clear rather than let it build up . It is going to warm up in a couple days . I wonder if that will cause wet snow . I hate that heavy crap !

I liked GM when they first opened up in Henrietta and got some good deals . After that , I avoided the store as they were overpriced with most items .

Wondering what my SIL property in Geneseo looks like . No doubt some trees are down in her woods . I also bet there are trees down in her laneway . .

I wanted something waterproof to wear around working , etc and bought a pair of Wolverine boots . I have only had them for a couple weeks but find them very comfortable . They were originally $149.99 at DICKs but I got them on clearance at $74.97 and used a $15 coupon so they only cost me $60 and tax . Not much of a review but so far they are comfortable .

Woods are a real mess

I usually call or text my 2 sons that hunt and send a picture .

Had to remove a sign on South Slocum and hadn't realized they were out of power . Same on Clevenger road . So many people south of Rt 104 without power and no telling when they will get it back . A lot of generators running in those areas .

There was a mob of drivers at Fastrack with gas cans . Getting gas for the generators and chain saws . The guy at Tractor Supply said he was getting most of the calls for generators and chain saws .......

Power went out yesterday and the whole house generator came on . Yippie . The regular power was back on in about 5 minutes . We lost cable and the Internet and were without it until around 4 pm today . Furnace Road in Ontario was shut down due to trees in the road . I had to take a detour in order to get out this am . I had to get my blood checked and forgot how stupid drivers can be . When the signal lights are out , drivers are supposed to stop like it is a 4 way stop and some don't . I stopped on Rt 104 by basket road in Webster and started to pull out . Some jerk heading south on Basket Road never stopped and if I hadn't been cautious , the guy would have T-boned my vehicle . Saw a lot of drivers not stopping at the signal lights . I wonder if they are aware of the driving regulations .
