Yeah , I took out my extra release , range finder , tree saw , bow holder and a couple other things . I could feel the difference when I lifted my back pack . I still take more than I would use but , you never know . Happy Hunting !

I had an X-Ray of my kidneys a couple months ago and was told no problem that nothing showed . I was having some blood show and told my doctor I was going to cut back on my coumadin . He gave me the okay but had me take the C.T. Scan last thursday . He talked to me tonight and told me I have a stone in my right kidney and some Diverticulosis on the left side of my colon . The latter is common with some of old folks . So , I should get a call Monday to make an appointment with a specialist . I really don't need this during Deer Season ! Better get busy and get a deer tomorrow !

This is how some Canadians hunt ........

When I shoot does in the late summer with the Crop Damage Permits . I take the heart - lung shots as no one else is out there . I have have several fold right up with that shot and others run a ways . No one else will be there to claim the deer . If I have the opportunity to take a shot at a buck on my SILs property , I will go for the shoulder shot . Her property is maybe 240 yards wide but deep ( 67 acres ) . I don't want someone on the adjacent properties to lay claim to a deer that I shot and a deer can't run with his shoulder gone . It depends on the area .

I remember when the gun opener used to be on a Monday . A lot of small business' thrived as guys would head to camp on a Friday night or Saturday morning and spend money in the grocery stores , restaurants , motels , etc .. The Saturday opener killed that !

I shoot for the lung / heart area . If it's a BIG buck , I might aim a bit closer to the shoulder so it cannot run (not the leg but the shoulder ) . My real preference is heart / lung . Good luck !

The Premium non-ethanol is $2.46 per gallon . About 46 cents more per gallon than the 87 Octane . Since not that much is used , it's a good investment for small engines .

So far this season , all I could do with a Euro Mount would be a Chipmonk !
