Move the dial to "9" and try it again . ;D ... ;D ...The 9X scope has to be a big improvement over open sights . I have a 1.5 X 4.5 scope on my ML and it's good beyond 100 yards .
A $600 / $1200 scope won't do a person much good if the individual cannot handle the cold weather . I should probably ask this question on a wisconsin site ........
I have a few cameras and plan to set one up in Geneseo this Saturday if all goes well . I want to check out a spot where the deer sometimes cross the creek and head for the gulley . I have been thinking of placing a chain-on on a tree where I could go part way down the band , step onto the stand and still be 15-20 feet above where the deer might travel .
I will use one of the IR cameras .
I was curious to see if anyone actually owned one of these jackets . My youngest son cannot handle the cold . He does have one of the heater body suits and says it is quite cumbersome ( but warm ) .
As for not spending $600 for a single piece of clothing ....... how many folks go out and $1200 or more on a rifle scope so that they will have "good glass" !
I'm surprised the shooter , Ramidogg , didn't say something while on camera like , "hold my beer and watch this " . He was enough of a Doofus !
Go to You Tube and look at some of their other videos .........
Does anyone own or has anyone heard of the Sitka-Gear . I saw a jacket on their site called "The Incinerator" that is filled with down and supposed to be warm in the coldest conditions . It goes for ( cough , cough ) $600 . ???

I figure Doc doesn't own one ! :
Blur --- Those two jerks showed little respect for the deer . The guy yanked it out like a rag doll . I know of no hunter that does that ! The PETA folks thrive on stupid stuff like that . Even after the 2nd shot the deer was quivering and the guy did nothing .
Your question "Is there really a difference between his method, and all the other guys who have pictures of a trophy http://huntingny.com/forums/Smileys/akyhne/huh.gif[/img] " ---- You're damned right there is !!!!!!
I went to the East-View Dick's store this afternoon . I bought 2 ladderstands for $69.99 and used a $10 coupon plus a $10 Rewards certificate . I then went back in the store and bought 2 chain-on stands for $39.99 and grabbed a chain-on bow holder and used another $10 coupon . Bought everything with Gift Cards ! They had the "buy one - get one free" deals . OoooooRaaaaah !!! ... ...
