  1. I bought a Savage 220 slug gun a few years ago . I only use it when I hunt in Honeoye Falls . Other areas are Rifle . I haven't shot my Winchester 1200 in several years . I plan to give that to one of my sons .
  2. I wonder if Josh has Raynaud's disease . Several in my family have this circulatory problem . Cold hands . Cold feet .
  3. Prayers for a speedy recovery
  4. Reloading can be quite rewarding . I started several years ago after buying some used Lyman equipment off of the "Swap Sheet" . Then added a tumbler , a Lee Single press to go with the Lyman Turret Press . Bought several die sets , primer pocket cleaners , etc. I have reloaded for 223 , 7-30 waters , 25-06 , 44mag , 270 and 380 . I read the Lyman Reloading book twice before ever starting . I was nervous at first but it got easier the more I got into it . I also started out with an Ohaus beam scale but then switched to an electronic scale . I don't think reloading is less expensive after buying all the equipment but you can tweak your loads to satisfy your shooting needs . Moho81 - congrats on your start-up .
  5. Great job ! That machine should keep you in stitches ...........
  6. I have one in the garage . I haven't used it in many years . Yes , it smells but it sure gets hot . They need to make a fluid that smells like fresh apples .
  7. I bought a chain saw sharpener from Harbor Freight a few years ago . It has worked okay . It looks similar to this picture .
  8. Some people fight wearing masks .... This might do it
  9. Who was doing the still hunting , you or the "yoke" ?
  10. When I watch Governor Hochul give a speech she uses the same hand gestures as Nancy Pelosi and reminds me of a younger Pelosi .
  11. Imagine riding through all the water on that trail . I was busting through the thin ice with the ATV went I went after my cameras .
  12. The marking on the trees in these pictures are to mark the trail . We did do property line markings on the North side of the woods . We used 3 stripes for those . Also , I agree the camera is a bit high for when the deer are close . I use a screw in mount for some of the cameras so all I need to do next time is bend it a bit or re-do the mounting bracket .
  13. Happy Birthday Cabin Fever ! ( I think with deer season over , we are all suffering from cabin fever ) .
  14. I think the buck in the back has his head turned differently . The lead buck looks the same . I only saw 2 tails running away as I drove across with the ATV .
  15. Pulled SD card yesterday . One of the pics is my son towing one of the deep sleds that we use to get deer out of the deep water woods .
  16. We would have to float them out with a boat .
  17. I removed the Cuddeback cameras in Geneseo yesterday . It was rough driving in the woods . The water doesn't drain off the land . I removed camera 2 1st and then headed back across our trail . I saw the flash of 2 tails heading up the horse trail . Apparently , I was a minute late as 2 bucks were on my camera on the horse trail . Bucks 2:03 pm --- Me 2:04 pm .
  18. As for deer season , I think there are less hunters out there than say 10 years ago . Years ago I would see several hunter's vehicles parked along the road , in fields , etc on my way to hunt . There would be all sorts of shooting almost an hour before Legal Time . I n the past few years I have seen a lot les parked vehicles and 90% less shooting in any of the 3 - 4 areas that I where I have deer hunted . I use to see several hunters on adjacent properties . That has all but ceased lately . Hunters aren't out there moving the deer . Just my observations .........
