I shoot my bow a few times during the winter just to make sure I can still pull 60# . ThenI start shooting in the back yard around June . Then a couple weeks before X-Bow season I shoot a couple bolts at 20 yards and 30 yards and I am good to go . At 80 years old I want to make sure my equipment is okay .

We bought our 4 bedroom Colonial in 1969 for $27,500 . We put an addition on and made some other improvements . Our house is now assessed at $212,000 . If I could sell it for that much , I would probably down size .

The snow melt and the continuous rain isn't helping matters ! Belo - I bought a Wayne 1/3 hp cast iron submersible sump pump . It was $140 but I got the military discount which dropped the price and saved me $14 .. The submersible pumps work a lot better than the standups .

When I went down to the basement yesterday am , we had almost an inch of water in most of the basement . Tried ti figure out where the problem was ...... When we put an addition on our house , we had a basement added under it . The guy that did the basement broke into the plastic pipe that goes to the sump pump crock . Sediment gets into it and clogged the pipe . I hooked up a hose with a gadget attached to the end and cleared the obstruction . It was like flushing a toilet . Took a few hours to get it back to almost normal . Ran a fan for a few hours and got things pretty well dried up . Glad we use plastic storage totes instead of cardboard boxes . Even though the sump pump is working okay , I think I will replace it before going on vacation just to be safe .
