Hunted at Geneseo this am with my youngest son for 3 hours with the crossbow . Saw a buck and 2 doe . No shot . Spent the rest of the morning and part of the afternoon putting up more tree stands and doing a lot of trimming to have them ready for gun season . I saw 5 dead deer while traveling north on Route 390 between Lakeville Exit 9 and Henrietta ..

At least by 6. I think sunrise is 654. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

That's the buck I almost got a shot at . He came from down wind and knew where I was .

If you have a long drive after getting a deer , stop at a gas station or store and buy a couple bags of ice to put in the chest cavity . As for spare fridges , don't get too new of a model . The newer ones are computerized and if it gets quite cold in the garage , they will shut down and won't work . An appliance dealer told me that instead of selling me a new fridge . Bought an older fridge through Graig's List .

Had to assemble my Centerpoint Sniper 370 . No problem . Instructions were easy to follow .

Came close to getting a shot this am but it wasn't meant to be . Heard a doe give a warning yelp around 8 am . Just caught a glimpse of her in the thickets . Around 9:20 an 8 point approached from down wind and knew where I was sitting . It looked right up at me and I stayed froze . As it passed a small clump of trees , I started to draw . It looked up and took off but stopped out of my sight but enough to pose for the trail camera . Took a break around 11 and did some trimming at another stand . I set up a double chair blind and left it there . After checking the latest pics from my cam in that area , I may not use that spot Saturday . Was back in the stand at 1:30 and stayed until 4:30 . Saw a doe at 4:20 in the neighbors field . On the way home I could make out 5 deer in a harvested corn field . Picture of the Buck I spooked .

He probably has been feeding in a corn field about 500 - 600 yards away . Only caught him once on any of my trail cameras in the area .
