Ole Reliable 30-30 with 170 grain ... I (last year) inherited a 270 which I'll take out this year ... but not on opening day !

I work odd hours .... When I work 3-11 I will hunt in the am . I work a 4 day week so when I'm off 3 days its all day ! -
Fall year round would be nice !

I never had one eaten by coyotes , but I usually hunt the same area and have always seen the gut pile gone by the next day !

Ok ... First year Bow Hunting .... what tip in your opinion should I get for my arrows ? Went to Dicks last night and asked a couple of guys (customers) their opinion and naturally one said Solid Razor and the other said Mechanical Razor but they both said "Dont Go Cheap" ! I've got 30 plus years gun hunting just want to give Bow a shot !

I was in the "Trades" all my life -HVAC- and also the Military (Reserve's) which I retired from . My father always told me - learn a trade and you'll never starve , he was right ! Would I do it again ...probably but I would finish college if for no other reason than to say I finished it ! -

My wife earned her license last year and I was hoping to sit her in my ladder stand this year and I would drive to her , then she hears about accidents falling out of stands and now its no go ! I've offered to strap her in but she does'nt want to hear it !

Welcome Thor ... Check out Ravena Coeymans Sportsmans Club > http://rcsportsmensclub.org/ < .... They have (I believe) 80 or so acres (WMU 4B/4S ) to hunt for members and is a short 20 minutes south of Albany !
