  1. Hey Cory, My son is there too, hope this rain passes soon.
  2. My buddy sends me this pic. of a pig of a buck that his cousin shot back on thier family farm in Illinois, what a huge buck all around.
  3. Frank's red hot, I put that $hit on everything!!!!
  4. BTW awesome videos Brian, I envy your passion and what your doing. For now I have to live vicariously thru you. Keep up those videos and best luck hunting.
  5. My sediments exactly, cant wait for the days of retirement. Always feel rushed myself, 3 1/2hr drive each way, sometimes only on a weekends to cut grass and before you know it your back in car heading back home.. I long for those days where I can be at camp for weeks and all the time is at my mercy.
  6. Me and my son got on a real nice 8pt. this morning, the buck had no clue we were there while he was feeding on acorns for 5 minutes or so then dipped under a standing of pines and disappeared. Unfortunately never presented a good enough shot for my boy to take, I really commend him for waiting on a good shot, feel so bad he's really bummed he didn't get a chance to shoot.
  7. Taking my 14yr. Old son out for his second year of hunting. Last year he passed on several does and a spike in the morning and in the afternoon connected on a big bodied 3 pointer. This year he's determined to hold out for a bigger buck, we will see. He's been practicing with his 6.5 creedmoor. Best of luck to all the young men/woman and thier mentors.
  8. Chef that's a dead deer, that's lung shot. Best of luck on recovery.
  9. Best of luck with the college visit.
  10. Thx. An extreme pleasure to watch these young men, the amount of talent across the board is amazing. The pitching, the hitting, diving plays, over the head outfield catches, double plays , etc.....it's nuts at this level. And the fields are amazing.
  11. Spot on, spoke to my son and the games don't count towards the spring season. But like you mentioned a great experience and probably some of the same teams they would be facing in the spring. I'm just so thrilled that he started and as a freshman able to compete at such a high level against seasoned seniors, juniors etc...BTW CMSV Dolphins swept the double header, we won both games, 5 to 2 and 8 to 2...
  12. I cant say for sure, college ball in general is all new to me...lol.. the games are legit but I'm sure not as serious as the spring season
  13. Thx. I agree, very excited for him!!!!
  14. Guess this no longer qualifies as youth baseball , my boys first college game and he started the first game of the fall season. Beyond proud, he pitched first 2 innings, couple strikeouts, gave up no runs. We traveled to play away at Bard college. This college baseball is legit and players / coaches all around are fantastic. Such a pleasure to watch.
  15. How the hell does someone get to 18k posts? I have been here since 2010 and barely have 3k posts. Someone needs to get out more often...loll Back to topic, I'll take smooth.
  16. Lol...sounds like a good idea.
  17. Why did you wrap them in paper? Too ripen mine, I keep them on trays on my patio in full sun and they turn in a couple, not sure about the fully green ones, but some that had a tinge of yellow turned red in no time at all.
  18. The last of the tomatoes picked at the cabin.
  19. Great job, that's a ton of work, nice to sit back and appreciate it now.
  20. My fall view on the front porch of our cabin, nothing but mountains.
