if I win the powerball or Mega this weekend.......

Set up an annuity with monthly payments and you can live very well for the rest of your life on one or two million. -
I have never wore one. The key is to have a slight bend in your elbow and lightly grip your bow.

Welcome aboard bud, enjoy!!! Great group of people here.

No i dont use chemicals on my property, i have a stream that trout spawn in (as per the DEC) and although this plot is a couple hundred yards away from stream, i dont like taking chances of chemicals seeping into the stream. I could use chemicals, but never chose to. Once the plots are established (following spring) I mow my clover plots regularly so they can compete with natural grasses. This natural approach has worked many years for me. Instead of using chemicals what i do is till my fields let them sit for a couple weeks, then disc. and also use a drag to get a good seed bed. I agree the clover is a big attraction over winter, they dig thru the snow like crazy to get to the clover. Some fields with snow look like bombs went off all over...lol..i also have another clover plot that sits a couple hundred yards above this one that i planted last spring as well and thats getting hammered just as much.

Thx

White ladino clover plot i put in last spring, was able to give it a cut today and snap a few pics. In center of property, very secluded. Deer have been frequenting it all times of day and night.

DEC and the army corps. Of engineers. Start with your local DEC.

Just a quick point not to confuse, in all logic once a bait pile is gone thats just it, its gone. A food plot and / or water source can potentially sustain wildlife year round (thats my intention). Those are 2 huge variables. Thats why i take insult when people say food plots are bait or unethical. You dont have to agree, but dont cast stones.

I'll speak for myself, i put more into my property with putting in plots, planting trees, timber mgt., water sources etc...that benefit all wildlife, not just deer. My intent is to feed animals year round, not to just go to a plot and shoot "them". I put way more into my land then i would ever take. Until you have been a part of land mgt., food plots etc...you have no idea of how labor intensive and costly it can get. Thats my choice. But dont sit there and type things that make you sound like you have no clue of what it entails. I get more out of enhancing my land for wildlife then actually killing an animal, and based upon your analysis of us food plotters that is something you dont seem to understand.

Id guess 22-24" outside spread.

Now thats awesome!!!

They seem damn proficent to me, at the end they got what they came for, meat!!! May not be pretty but end results are same.

Some type of harvester, looks to have its own storage unit for the crop and a chute that feeds it. Thats huge.

Browning is the way to go for their size, ease of use, quality picture and at a relatively good price.

Crazy, i assume you already knew there was nothing in the water to impede your fall. Not good if there was rocks or a rock shelf under the water. That would be my fear

Thats exactly the reaction i get from people inside and outside the office, from meeting parents at kids baseball games to people in my office to everyday life. They are all intrigued and engaging when it comes to deer hunting and eating venison. Knock on wood, not once have i met an anti, atleast not any that have acknowledged they were anti-hunting.

Yeah i may try that, adding a grain with brassica. Everytime i tried Brassica with clover mix, the Brassicas got hammered.

Thats quite the bachlor group, love that drop tine!!!

Congrats -
About 1/2 to 3/4 acre.
-
And thats not even including the soft and hard mass when they are producing.
-
Tons, miles of corn fields not too far off on other farms , hay fields galore and several white ladino clover plots on my property. All within a couple mile radius.
-
Enjoy your day!!

The issue i have is that my brassica plots get hammered down to dirt and never getting a fighting chance to reach maturity. And these are nice size plots. Some say deer will not touch brassicas till first frost, not my case. They get eaten as soon as they grow. These pie plates would be a nicer (cheaper), less labor intensive to an electric fence. May have to try that come next late spring.
