  4. Thats awesome Grampy and even better is a grandpa that shows so much interest as you do. Great job and best of luck to your grandson's. Thanks for sharing.
  5. Sure, just need to put a few more years on them. Hopefully they continue to enjoy the sport. Thanks.
  6. Sorry but yes im a proud dad thats bragging but I feel the need to share this with my hunting brothers and sisters and any young kids listening. These kids and so many others have worked so hard over the winter and it shows, just want to show any kids on here that no matter what they do in life, do it with great gusto and be humbled about it. Been really busy lately and have not been on here that much, alot of my spare time from now on is spent with 2 boys playing travel ball. Literally stripping down after work and out the door again to take kids to games and practice and also help coach my younger boys team. But that's the story of alot of parents out there and i want to commend you as it takes alot of dedication. The weekends are even crazier, but to be very honest i wouldn't have it any other way!!!! Well to the reason i started this thread, heres my 12 year old working hard over the winter being trained by a retired MLB pitcher. Now fast forward to this past Saturday on his opening day of spring season ,my 12 year old boy pitched 7 innings with a no hitter, with a low 80's pitch count with 18 strikeouts..Just prayer to God he remains healthy and his team has a fun season. Hes on a weeks rest now and hes so happy. His younger brother is not too far behind. Im not sure how i got 2 lefties, but i aint complaining..sorry for the rant, i'm just so happy for them good or bad....thier both gonna be playing in Cooperstown this summer in a tournament. Cant wait. Please share any stories of your little ones playing any sports, would love to hear them.
  7. Wow, thats some real talent right there. They all look great!!!! If you didnt tell me i would have thought those feathers were real. Great attention to detail.
  8. Pasta with oil and garlic, asparagus and some ribs.
  9. I cant compare because i never had pizza from Rochester, but there are a few places in Brooklyn that i consider very good for pizza.
  10. My mother in law makes the best pizza rustica, shes making a few for easter dinner. Cant wait. My mother makes the best homemade Sicilian pie. Im spoiled....lol For the best regular pizza"s you need to venture into Brooklyn, the best there is. So many good pizzeria's to choose from.
  11. Very nice rig, congrats. Good shootin, always nice when you can break paper, i'd say shes dialed in.
  12. Filet mignon , baked ziti and lard bread.
  13. Im talking rack size, a deer in my area with a rack like that would most definitely be a 3 1/2 year old but would sport a much larger body than that buck.
  14. I have been hunting for 30 years and i have seen and shot quite a few big ones and i have yet to see or harvest a 1 1/2 year old that big. Moog, to your original question on the age of that deer, to be honest in my area of central NY that buck is a 3 1/2 yr. Old all day long, but from what i have seen come out of the western portion of our fine state he could pass for a 2 1/2 yr. Old.
  15. Prime rib, twice baked potato, broccoli and fried asparagus
  16. Setting out minerals to atract deer is considered baiting, which is illegal in NYS.
  17. I only use pellatized lime, the 40lb bags are manageable, fairly inexpensive and are much easier to spread by hand and with less waste. The bags make it easier for me as i have several food plots that are tucked away high and interior on my property. Easy to just toss 10 bags in the utv or tractor and chug them up the mountain. Would be a mess and alot of loss trying to do that with ag powder lime. Using a tractor with lime spreader in my hill country would be a BIG No No for most of my plots.
  18. Homemade Pappardelle pasta with a meat sauce, fried cauliflower and some twist italian bread.
  19. Burger with pepperjack cheese and fries. For dessert is Babka from Isaac's bake shop.
  20. Tortellini soup and meatball sandwhiches, the Mrs. never disappoints.
