1. Happy Valley wildlife management area in central NY is a huge area of state land that offers a lot of space for hunting. There are dirt roads that offer access throughout the entire forest, which is around 9,000 acres. There is info on the DEC website. It's quite far from you, but may be worth a look.
2. Need to get a new scope for my new gun and was looking for the best place to buy Vortex scopes. I know a few of the guys on here have them and know where to buy them. I bought one from swfa.com but heard there was a better place. Just looking for some help.
3. We do sell lamb to individuals.
4. Oddly we have quite a few coyotes around. They just can't get to where the chuck holes are because of our fencing. We have 6 strands of high tensile fencing for our sheep that go around half of our property. The fields where the coyotes can get to only had a few holes in them.
5. A lot of good info here. I will agree with the proper shooting form. I don't have anyone nearby so what I do is set up the video camera. This way I can critique my own form. Pretty interesting to watch if you have never done that before. You notice a lot of little things that you are doing wrong or that you didn't realize you did. For instance, the first time I watched myself I noticed that I close both eyes for a split second when I get to full draw, then open my right only. Not sure why, but I do.
6. I went out yesterday and filled in all the holes in our fields I could find, all 23 of them! I figure this way I will be able to tell when they start to get active without actually seeing them. I think I will wait till summer to attempt eating one though, as it seems like most people recommend the youngins which won't be available till then. It seems like I should have a pretty good herd of them this year too (with all the holes), so if anyone is nearby and wants to try some, stop in! I also found this website that has a bunch of wild game recipes.

http://www.wildliferecipes.net/Game_recipes/Small_game_recipes/Woodchuck_recipes/index.asp

The woodchuck patties sounds pretty good! That might be what I try.
7. I was talking to a guy today and we were talking about woodchuck hunting. I told him I shoot 10-20 off the farm every year. He responded with "how do you cook em?" I responded with I don't! I've never thought about cooking one up, but after talking to this guy, I just might have to! He said it tasted like roast beef...not sure I believe that. And that you just had to make sure you remove the glands/sacs on the back and under the armpits. Anyway, anyone on here shoot them and eat them? Or has anyone ever tried it? After scouring the web I found some recipes that actually sounded pretty good. I will try pretty much anything at least once. Looks like woodchuck may be on the menu at least once this summer!
8. Forgot to attach the pictures I had.

9. For sale is a Cesare Peli-Gardone V.T. Italia o/u 12 gauge. This gun was made in the Val Trompia region of Italy which is known for its fine custom gun making. The barrels and metal are all in very good condition. The one flaw is the small chunk of walnut that is missing on the butt of the stock. This does not affect the functionality of the gun by any means. Just a small eye sore. I am asking $3000 or BO in its current condition or $4000 or BO repaired. Below are a couple pictures. I will upload more of the stock damage when I get home.

10. For sale is a pair of Crosman 38T .22 cal air pistols. Both in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Asking $80/BO each or the pair for $140 TYD. Will post pics later when I get home.
11. What are the most important improvements you can make to your bow set up to help you become a better archer? I've been looking at a lot of used bows for sale and have noticed many different set ups. Just wondering what people thought were the most important to spend money on. Personally I would start with a quality rest and sight. What do y'all think?
12. Gun has been sold, please lock this thread.
13. Up for sale is my DSM-34 .22 cal rifle. This is completely original and is in very good condition. Asking $900 or BO.
14. Reminds me of when I got rid of my truck and had an Impala SS for a short period of time. I had a tub I called the buck tub. Got it at Walmart for like $10 and it fit perfectly in the back seat. I think I put more deer in the back seat of that thing then I did women!
15. I would sell the gun pictured along with the other 3 L.C. Smith's for $2800 or BO. Pictures are available upon request.
16. Awesome video! I was amazed at how calm the guys were.
17. Let me know what kind of pictures you are looking for specifically. I can upload them or if you PM me I can email them to you.
18. That's not it. That is the King buck from 2010 or 2011. That buck is having scoring issues or it would be the new record.
