6th Annual Banquet
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in Greater Rochester Southern Tier QDMA
Apparently they are having an issue with the comment box. If any of you sign up and it isn't there or working, We will follow up via email to clarify the meal choices. -
I've been looking into this for a while. This seems like a pretty good set up for a small operation. I've been pricing out his set up and I think his pricing is about right. https://sites.google.com/site/mattatuckmadnessmaplesyrup/home/homemade-reverse-osmosis-system

#1 lesson- this is not a Democracy. It is a dictatorship. #2 NEVER dish out a punishment when you are overly emotional about the situation and NEVER go back or lessen a punishment that is given. #3 the kids would rather have a finger cut off then loose access to online or social platforms. I am speaking from experience, My mother NEVER gave in on a punishment. I spend whole summers grounded. and look how I turned out.... well. ... I guess disregard everything I just said...lol. Seriously, my bad behavior was my mouth with my mother. She wouldn't argue or yell back. She would just calmly say that If this or that doesn't stop this second you are grounded for a week. (grounded meant you did NOTHING social). If I ran my mouth after that see just counted. Me: BLAH BLAH BLAH Her: two weeks Me: BLAH BLAH BLAH Her: 3 Me BLAH BLAH BLAH Her: 4. No, I am not a quick learner.

A Night filled with wonderful food, great company, cold beer, GREAT Prizes, Auction items, Games and of course lots of GUNS. This year there is a new twist. On the QDMA website we have a portal that allows for you to purchase your entry/ meal tickets as well as your General Raffle packs online. This should make everything much easier and there is a bonus for doing so. Online purchasers will be entered into a drawing for a firearm. This firearm will be drawn the night of the banquet and only those buying through the online portal will be entered. This is the link to the online portal.--https://www.qdma.com/get-involved/events/action~agenda/page_offset~1/request_format~html/ Everyone attending receives a one year membership in QDMA Use the link above and go to May 5th on the calendar. Click on the little green ticket icon on the right side of our banquet event and select the Meal/Entry tickets you wish. Don’t forget to also buy your raffle pack. The Early bird specials are up and running but they won’t last so DON’T miss out on the great General Raffle drawings we have every year. The specials are only available to Early Birds. First thing I would do it pull off the aluminum base and put on one made with steel. The 450 has been seeing some pretty wide use in the TC Encore circles and the two things I keep seeing are "get steel base" and "it beat the snot out of a scope". -

I'll text you the link to the set I would get. Necking down isn't an issue just gotta be VERY cautious of incorrect head stamps since you do have a 308 in the house.. I resized with Dad's 270 from my 30-06 brass. I just picked a ballistic tipped bullet and that was a clear indicator for me since I only shoot soft points out of the -06 -

Counseling without a Copay

in Jr High I had a bully giving me issues. The same one decided to pull the same crap with two of my friends. It really didn't matter that he shaved in 6th grade and outweighed each of us by about 40 pounds when all 3 of us caught him behind the buses. I don't remember him ever bullying anyone again. -
I am not really envisioning a teacher dashing out of their classroom to take on a shooter in a gun battle down a hall. I see that kind of interaction being with the armed security. I do picture in my head a teacher in their room in what I have seen as the normal lockdown procedures (not that I agree with the huddled in a group with text books in front of their heads). That teacher having a gun and if that shooter busts into the classroom, they aren't there as a target throwing pencils at the psycho.

Social media and 24/7 giving a conduit for the little attention whores to peddle their wares. -
I'd be willing to bet there are people that were effected by the Parkland shooting that wish a couple teachers were armed as opposed to the "highly trained" security that was there on that day. Belo, It really does blow my mind that you can't even entertain the possibility that there are teachers in the population that could and would act appropriately and contribute to the solution. You honestly sound like the left in the generalizations you are making. Since you wouldn't trust the ones you know in your family, none of them should be trusted.

I support allowing vetted, trained and willing teachers to be part of the plan. I also think armed and trained and vetted guards should be a cog in that plan as well. I think the plans should be Federal mandates and not subject to the whim of the districts. I'd also like to see mandatory metal detectors. I know teachers that I wouldn't hesitate to have them carry. I also know many that I wouldn't want to carry. I can say the same for LEO's and Military. There will be no 100% guarantee in any system put into place but I honestly believe that having armed staff as part of the school security will take the easy target stigma away from the schools. I really don't think we are far apart on this. I just see your staunch opposition to any teacher being armed as emotional and not based in any fact. There are different levels of background checks in this country. I've been through several. ones like my pistol permit and right up to clearance for Federal installations where previous school teachers were contacted and credit checks for possible targeting for payoffs for information. . These kids are our most important resource. Just like 12 year olds being allowed to big game hunt, I haven't seen anyone suggest patting the teachers on the back and just saying go get 'em and turning them loose.

Dude shouldn't have had a gun IMO. If he had a CC Permit, why was it still in force? Davidson has a history of bizarre medical episodes both at school and outside of school, The Chattanoogan reports. In March 2016, he went to the police department headquarters and said he wanted to confess to having someone killed. Davidson, who was accompanied by his wife, told detectives he had an Internet affair with a woman named Jacqueline Enrique who was the girlfriend of his adopted son, The Chattanoogan reports. According to the police report, he said the affair lasted a few weeks and then he told his wife about it. Davidson told detectives that the woman was pregnant with twins at the time and she was abusive to them and causing him problems after they were born. Davidson said he was approached by two friends who told him they would “take care of her for him<" and he agreed. The friends later told her that they had killed her. He was vague about the details, police said. Detectives were never able to locate a woman named Jacqueline Enrique. During that incident he told police he was depressed, had been on several medications to treat that and had recently gotten out of the hospital, WXIA-TV reports. Police said in the report they found Davidson was “delusional or having something else that had occurred that is causing him to have these thoughts.” He was taken to the hospital for observation, “based on him thinking about hurting himself.” In January 2017, Davidson was reported missing while at school. Police responded after Davidson told other staff members that he wasn’t feeling well and was going to leave for the remainder of the day. He was later found in the far east hallway of the school in an area far from where his classroom and department were located. When his wife later arrived to pick him up, he couldn’t be found. Officers responded, but also couldn’t find him. Police said he was then spotted hours later walking on a street near the school. EMS responded and he was found to be sitting on a curb being held up by two staff members. Police said Davidson was conscious and didn’t appear to be in any type of physical distress, but an officer said he and others tried to speak with him, “but no amount of stimulus would draw a response from Davidson,” according to the Chattanoogan. He was then taken to the hospital.

I know it was a far fetched and off the wall post but I was just trying to illustrate how insincere and propaganda driven the Left is on this issue. -

I would LOVE to see a politician stand up and propose disarming minorities just to see the Left's collective heads explode. They love stats and such to justify that anything is justified to "just save one life". I love reading through he FBI crime stats. The white firearms homicide rate is 1.55 / 100,000 of white population. The minority homicide rate is 6.5 / 100,000 of minority population. And before I see the "the populations are so different in numbers" look at this. White population is 197.8 Million. Minority population is 125.3 million. After all, anything is justified "if you can just save one life"....right?
