Cruise Missles Launched

We can add Kosovo and Libya to that list. Our history is littered with examples with "use of force" without Congressional approval. Honestly if you read and understand the War Powers Resolution, this is fairly recent and there is nothing to stop a President from doing this (according to the WPR). There is a 48 hour notification of Congress and forces can only stay for 60 days without Congressional approval. That whole WPR kind of flies in the face of the Constitution in my opinion. -

Did we get Congressional approval to land troops in a Sovereign nation and perform an armed assault and killed people? That is how it went down when Bin Laden was taken out. -

Find the pine trees (or any evergreen) and that is where you will find them. And as far as eating? They taste like turpentine. lol -
This 4 point not legal in the NY antler restricted zones.

I have seen a half dozen or so of these deer over 36 years of deer hunting. I believe this was the intention of the 3" rule. I haven't seen a fawn buck with spikes over the 3" mark though. -

Forge welded!! nah...I cheated..MIG. Neither my propane or coal forge would be big enough to get that in for forge welding. -

How do you know it wasn't the doe that gave birth to him that had the bad gene? -

I apologize for the poor pictures. No matter how I angled it I couldn't get the wire framed to look as good in the picture as it did in person. This is a full sized whitetail mount I forged up. The antlers started out as 1-1/8" square stock. The pieces are welded together. The originals are upright. Wish I could figure this crap out...lol We actually auctioned it off at the banquet this last Saturday. -

Huh? where are you gettign that from Jenny? -
Let me take it one step further. Get a new adult hunter into the sport. In the last 5 years I have taken 4 adults out to hunt on multiple occasions that never hunted before. Two of them struck out in their first year. They felt the hunting experience was "ok". Their second year out one shot a spike and my BIL shot a nice 4 pointer. Their enthusiasm for the coming season is much higher than the first year.

I agree with the one buck as well. That is how it was growing up. shoot one during bow and it was over. I wish it wasn't death buy 1,000 cuts with DEC. I would like to see a real hard look at things and come out with a very comprehensive plan. I've said it many times before, I would also like to see all antlerless permits issued in the lottery system and available to any hunter. if an area can withstand any antlerless harvest then the gun hunters should have the same possibility as a ML or a bow.

Stubby. Real question and not busting balls. These animals evolved before our major human population explosion. They developed their breeding and birthing schedules for specific purposes. Look at deer. Salmon. Even seas turtles along with many other species. What benefit is there to make he females dropping the young of the years in a very short period of time?

Grow. lol he ARs will never protect 100% of year and a half olds unless they are so restrictive that no one will stand for them. I believe the 3 point areas and 4 point areas were selected because it will cover the majority of them. Out here by is a 3 point rule would save 50% of them. We have a lot of 6 7 and 8 point yearlings. Where I grew up in central NY that didn't happen much.

One of my new favorites is canned venison tacos.

Well I think the lack of mental ability to follow a simple thought may speak volumes. I have been one of the most vocal on here over the years against any mandatory AR's but to say there is no benefit to having a more natural age structure, a condensed rut and how that plays into winter survival blows my mind. The only question is, and this is where i departed from mandatory, would it be detrimental to the herd if it didn't happen. That answer is no and where it becomes more of a social issue. the deer are doing fine, could it be better? yes. is it worth the loss of hunter choice to make the extra step? Well that is what we are "discussing". But to discount clear benefits is either just stubborn or incapable of grasping the concepts.

My main hunting is in 8 H. Similar issues but they are considering excluding us from AR for some reason. I can't speak for any of the other branches but I do know that many of them including the one I am part of do a lot. This issue is not the main focus. Have you seen the push for the poaching legislation?
