Well the first step is admitting you actually have a problem. -

short action. I would bet their 25-06 is 25 to 28 -
I've never had ground be tough. Almost sounds like the grinder was pushing through the plate and not cutting it as it went. I wonder what would happen if you reground it in the new grinder just before you used it?

Things can come up and make it impossible to respond. I wouldn't panic until you get a week of no response. -

Sorry, Forgot fish wasn't meat...lol. It really will take the toughest cuts of deer (or beef) and yeild a delicious pot roast consistency treat. Make great and easy venison stroganoff, chili, dips and a host of other things.

One way or the other the meat has to get processed
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Rockspek's topic in Deer Processing
I have one. Me. Just not a fan of bone in butchering for deer. -
All I can say is in this picture. Now granted this is a cross section right behind the front shoulders. Personally i believe what many view as no mans land there is above the spine. Below the spine, behind the diaphragm will make for a sleepless night too

You ever had tuna?

I cold pack. touch of canning salt, couple cloves of garlic per pint and a dash of crushed red pepper. Make sure to pack tight tight tight and get all the air out. The ones I plan on using for snacking on crackers, I put a hot pepper in each pint. I don't make quarts. on the rare occasion that I need more than a pint I just open two. I can get more in my canner using the pint jars and cooking time is less. And don't be afraid. watch it on the heat up and once the weight is rocking it should be on cruise control.

I'll tell you right now that bone in butchering SUCKS!!!! Marrow and bone frags in the meat. Once you get the process down to debone it all you will never want it any other way. -
believe it or not I won't take many exceptions to this except where you and I can't get on the same page of what an assault weapon is. The semi's are functionally the same and impossible to separate. I would add a National carry permit that serves as the background check for guns and ammo. Just like a license. valid until cause for revocation.

You know what I meant. we are sitting here talking about the use of FMJ on Game and the humanity of it and the "rules of war" says we cant use the round we prefer on game for a cleaner kill. I always thought the object of a war was kill the other guy before he kills you. What the hell do I know. lol

The authors and signers of the Hauge Convention must have thought so. They mandated for people.

The article can't even keep the difference between illegal immigrants and immigrants straight. I've heard Trump speak against illegal immigration and legal immigration without a comprehensive and working vetting process but haven't heard him speak out against legal immigration. Could you provide me the quote in context?

Midway won't ship? Is their a Bass pro or Cabelas near you. ship to a store is usually free and solves that

Or you could pony up and buy this. Specifically made for the Garand http://www.hornady.com/store/30-06-168-gr-A-MAX-M1-Garand/

How about using a reduced recoil round? They are factory made now and I would bet are under any mil spec pressures. The only caveat is that it could be too reduced to operate the action. would give you a solid 200 yard gun with little iPOI difference at 100 compared ot standard rounds.

I'm not next door but am in Henrietta area. When we get one this bow season, if you PM me you info I would be happy to have you stop over to see the operation. The equipment is minimal for what is "needed'. I think you get a better product that is more customized to what you really want. Basically you only NEED the following. Some way to hang it. a good sharp knife or two, a sharpening tool, a cutting board and a way to wrap it up. (plastic wrap and freezer paper will get you through. As far as time, once you get to understand the process and get a couple under you belt there is no reason that the time from hanging to closing the freezer door should be over 3 hours. (depending on the cuts you want) Let me know. -

Felines are the ultimate hunter. Probably why they are classified as they are. -
