Fade is right. I bet it was Fallow deer if you checked into it. Not sure if it is still there but up north on the way to Clayton there was a large farm that raised Fallow deer for market

What does you buddy say to all the shotgun shooters that are running jacketed bullets at slower speeds than that wil excellent performance?

Ok, so I have heard of these and to be honest I really feel lazy and don't want to google....lol. Do these does drop their antlers every year? If not, Do they continue to grow so an older antlered doe could have a bigger rack? (now you guys be nice on that one) And to the OP. did you get the doe aged?

iI have seen recipes that say to add liquid but that was for hot packing. Cold pack does not require additional fluid. The meat makes its own. Would add one thing. Once the steams starts to come out of the pressure canner it should vent steam for 10 minutes. Then as the weight and for pints it is 75 minutes. For quarts it is 90 minutes.

Ok. as long as we are on Garlic. My Uncle grows Garlic....no He rally grows A LOT of Garlic..lol. I get way more than I can use so I looked into canning come. He gave me a Wegmans bag full of hot Garlic. The stuff is great. Not fond of the Elephant Garlic. no Taste. But here is why I posted. When I use garlic in my canning recipes I have to peel a lot of it at one time. He told me to break the cloves off and just take off the loose outer skins. Throw the cloves on a paper plate and put inthe Microwave oven on High for 20 seconds. Those tight skins right up against the cloves slide rigth off with just you fingers SOoooooo easy. It works great.

LOL Exactly. Any closer than 40 yards I don't know how you would tip your gun at that angle out a window. Guess scent control isn't an issue up there. Other than to the geese I mean. -

Accman. We did about the same thing. I did mount the legs on a batter though. two bolts in each leg (one through each side and all I did was put scraps of 3/4" lumber at the underside of the outside stringers to push the tops in further (which pushes the bottoms out). next year we have a spot where we want one 8' high. -

Here are two box blinds and Dad's Cabana on our lease. The Cabana has since been painted and windows added. The balance are more traditional stands. but there sure are nice during very cold snaps and rain. These are equipped with height and tilt adjustable office style chairs...lol We also have one tent blind that is on a platform built on scaffolding. -

Reloading cost vs store bought ammo
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Doewhacker's topic in Reloading
On ething I like about the Lee Manual (and others may have it as well) is the cubic centimeter case capacities for all the rounds and the CC for the different powder loads. When I was working up loads for my rifles, if I had it narrowed down to a couple powders I wanted to use the tie breaker for me was a powder that the mid range charge was over 1/2 cc capacity for the casing. impossible to double charge that way. The case wont hold it. Doesn't help in my pistols becasue there is so much unused space in the 38 and 357. -
Reloading cost vs store bought ammo
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Doewhacker's topic in Reloading
I didn't want to spend the cash on an automatic. I opted forthe Lee Perfect powder measure. I set it a fraction of a grain short and use the powder trickler onto my electric scale. Not as fast but works really well. I double check about every 10th round on the balance beam scale. FOr my pistols I use the die mounted Lee powder charger. I got the double disc kit and I could load small rifle cartriges for rounds like the .223 on it if I wanted. I only use it right now for the .38 and .357 pistol rounds. It throws within a couple tenths of a grain. since I am not loading them on the high end, all mid range loads. it works fine and allows me to do about 125-150 an hour once I am set up. -
If I were going to try an stuff using a grinder I would definitely add one of these to the set up. http://www.lemproducts.com/product/grinder_foot_switch/meat-grinder-parts-accessories?r=adwords-pla-GrinderAccessories&src=ADWORD&gclid=CPzlsfDQ5LoCFTHxOgodWEUAfw
