  1. Some one paying their bills on Welfare and hunting instead of finding a job
  2. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/215517/frankford-arsenal-impact-bullet-puller this works very well but can be a bit noisey banging on the bench...lol
  3. That pictured rack is 212? might be the photo but the OP sure doens't look 226 to me compared to Rossco.
  4. That is almost identicle ballistics to the -06 in teh distance he mentioned. doesn't make sense to add that on.
  5. Good deals and easy bucks. ...your motto? whining and not being able to find mature bucks to hunt in an area without AR speaks to your ability or at least your effort. They are in every WMU .....AR or not. Just not behind every tree like many would want
  6. Elmo--THis is another pretty good read- http://www.cwd-info.org/index.php/fuseaction/about.main
  7. WIth a great selection of factory and reloading components. Another you may consider is .223 since you would have 2 calibers with military history and surplus ammo available for plinking
  8. I am not familiar with that press. I use the Lee Turret. All teh processes are set on a turret and you can switch calibers (fully calibrated ) in a mater of a couple minute. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/785993/lee-4-hole-turret-press-with-auto-index-deluxe-kit How does that Redding press PRIME the case? I like using a digital scale but verify each set up with my balance scale http://www.midwayusa.com/product/175512/frankford-arsenal-ds-750-electronic-powder-scale-750-grain-capacity Tumpler I use is http://www.midwayusa.com/product/286322/lyman-turbo-twin-case-tumbler-110-volt Reloading trays for the calibers you want to load - especially since you are using a single stage press http://www.midwayusa.com/product/536734/frankford-arsenal-perfect-fit-reloading-tray-5-22-250-remington-243-winchester-308-winchester-50-round-blue I load all my rifle rounds in single stage setting on the Leee anyway but the turret sure is nicer for pistol rounds. If you shoot alot of the 40 you may want to look at a differnt set up. (FYI once set up I can run 150 .357 magnum rounds out of the Lee in an hour)
  9. Tha is one of the most ignorant comments I have heard on this topic. If you want to grow bigger bucks as part of a management program the last thing you want is the population growingand causing mor ecompetition for available food. You are posting all over these AR topics and I get yopu are all for making it easier for you to shoot a mount that you can puff your chest out about, but where are you hunting and how much time have you spent hunting in other parts of the state?
  10. My Uncle has one and took Elk and Moose with it. Pygmy is spot on in his description. If you don't hand load you may want to study ballistics and select a similiar cartrige that has better availability
  11. Aside from AR support and opposition I do keep seeing comments made about letting young and old be exempt. Can I suggest something? I think we need not be as concerned about the young, maybe it should be phrased as 'new' hunters. Even on this site I see more folks coming in latter in life and with the computers being used for license sales They should be able to make this happen in an AR area.
  12. Actually I have seen many no in support of AR call the supporters out for not admitting any part of AR support IS about the horns. It seems like taboo in a support commment to simply say " I want to shoot bigger racks" John, saying it doesn't make taking a bigger buck easier is just bull $shit. be definition it is easier. If you say the numbers taken have gone up it is easier unless the hunters in teh areas have taken a magic hunting knowledge pill or attended hunter 101 training. the hunters haven't changed and the take went up...IT GOT EASIER!!. If there are more of them just the odds make it easier. During the rut an dthe boys are just thinking about the girls , the likelihood that even an inexperienced hunter will have one that strolls by goes up with higher numbers...becasue IT IS EASIER. whether you want to admit it or not the mature deer have aways been in these areas, just not in the numbers since AR. more are taken becasue it ...you guessed it......IT GOT EASIER!!
  13. How do you guys (and gal) know that those are not supplemental watering devises?
  14. Peter, let me clue you in a bit. All of NY HAS large racked mature deer. They are taken every year. What you sound lie you need is then to be very easily taken and behind every tree to offset your inability to take one. You are bashing the level of competence of gun hunters but if you can't take a mature buck in NY may that bashing is misdirected and should be focused on yourself.
  15. You mean the same majority that lists a very important desire to have a choic in the buck they take (from the same survey). But if the majority of hunters are so for this then why is it needed? Are the ones for it lacking the ability to make their own choice and practice it without a regulation?
  16. Peter, Many of your assertions are with out fact and based solely on your opinion are wrong on so many points I don't even know where to start.
  17. Luck stiff. We will be waiting to see the pic posted at around 9am,
  18. I think very few would dispute that AR's would grow a large racked deer population. I think the point of contention is at what cost? Personal preference seems to be very important to many and having a choice to take a deer. There are guys on this forum that have said it has made a huge difference and ones that are not reporting the same results. I think it boils down to what is important to the individual hunter that decides which side of the fence they are standing on.
  19. if you actually pluck the seed off the strands the strands will really travel further. they work great.
  20. ANd just forthe record I have heard you speak very highly of Farmer's ...daughters
  21. Exactly---must have a buck to be milked or something
  22. Thug...correct me if I am wrong. you post would indicate how things are handled once a suit is filed. There is nothing in NY that keeps anyone from sueing anyone...right?
  23. Never used their permission slip. Gonna have to look it up. I hae had cards and the Cooperative hunting slips before.
