Me too, wheres the info? The only way you are going to get 437 pounds of deer is if you tie or freeze 3-4 together..ok maybe 2-3 but still! WOrks for me. If 3 are tied together that might be the only way I fill my 3 doe tags...lol

Bubba, You ever give any thought to actually having it flush. we run ours out of a 275 gallon poly tank that I picked up for $75 bucks and a 12 volt on demand RV water pump. flushes just like home . we collected rain water form gutter in the tank until I dropped a tank in a spring this past summer

437 pounds....and it's number 5. ??? ??? ??? I have never heard of a whitetail that big that was actually confirmed
-
could actually be from trauma. A wound or run in with a car dam cause stress and force an early drop. I had one infected arrow wound in mid gun season and both antlers fell off just turning the deer over to inspect it

well if it was shot they loaded it on a truck without gutting it. look at how the abdomin is all full and high. I sure would like to see something like that in the wild once.....even off season

Heading back this weekend... Any idea how it will be?

my clover plots are bare. they have eaten them down to the ground since the first frost...just not while we have been there. I am wondering if they will come back in the spring -
Here is a story that I think most of you will find very funny I left my camp south of Cortland yesterday afternoon. I wanted to make the trip most of the way back to Rochester mostly in the daylight since the roads were gong to be rough. Not knowing if I would be able to get back in this year due to the snow I was loaded on the back of my truck like an episode of Sandford and Sons. I was at the Geneva Waterloo area and the slushy spay was starting to build up on my wipers. I came up to the service area and decided to pull in and clean off ...and gas up just ahead of me was one of those big Infinity SUV's. I notice as it pulled in the service area too the driver's side brake light was out. It pulled up to the pumps and I took the spot right behind it. The back window was loaded with stickers for soccer and lacrosse. Out steps this very attractive blonde...dressed to the nines and about in her late 30s to early 40's. The conversation went like this Me-excuse me. Her- as she steps out of the SUV..yeah as she gives me the up down look at all the hunting clothes. Me- I noticed following you in here that your drivers side brake light was out Her- as she walked around to the FRONT of her suv--they are both working Me- thinking that she was frazzled fromt he crappy roads or might not have heard me correctly---I meant to say your brake light Her- I am looking right at them and they are both working. Me- sorry, my mistake have a great day. I giggled my butt off the entire time I was filling up the truck and cleaning off the wipers. when I got home I asked my 15 yo daughter....a brunette...lol. who has not even taken her permit test....where are the brake lights on a car.....her reply...the back Dad. I guess there still is hope in the world.

rest up and get well. There are many seasons left and your health is the most important. Did it burst or were they able to take it out laparascopically? . I had mine done the latter and if that is the case you might make ML...assuming you get some one to drag your trophy and don't over do it...stand watches wil be the only option. there will be lifting restrictions and FOLLOW THE DR.'s instructions...good luck and speedy recovery

I covered out entire 100 acres...and probably traveled around about 400 acres on state land . one set of tracks and it went onto posted property. About 15 drivers and I am not sure how many watchers drove the big hunk of state land right next to our property on unday morning. not one shot out of that drive. I did see a flock of 10 gobblers and a flock of 35 hens and juvies. Will be hunting Rochester this weekend and the muzzleloader. I know I will at least see some doe on that property. .....////did I sound convincing?..I am trying to convince myself of it...lol/// -
WNY..sorry to hear this. I hope the bastard tries to steal your stand and you get their pic. Doc...we didn't lock our door either...Mom and Dad didn't even have a key for it. There seems to be less and less social stigma associated with being a criminal since we now have social backing to be able to blame it on other factors...."I steal because my mom didn't buy me those air jordan sneakers when I was a kid"...pitty

Now I do feel old Wolly....you listed some things that were way after I started hunting...lol. Good ole things that are more recent than I remember…

Well we have a new dusting of snow...I made my marathon potato chip run into my stand without jumping anything. Little breezy up on the hill...fingers crossed...there won't be any still hunting this morning

??? ??? I think I need a private moment

Fighting or Queer Deer? You decide.

I have seen cows in heat mount other cows. There wasn't a bull around. This is a new one to me but I have seen it in other animals like dogs. There has to be some social reason that has evolved. -

John....if it is any help...Binghamton/Marathon area only got a dusting out of this storm. I am not even sure with the temos approacking 32 if it will be there after today. I head down tonight and if it is there I hope it isn't as loud as is is here in Rochester. -

Learning...even how we do it is based on a specific situation.....going through the steps of that situation and evaluating after we are through it. We benefit from communication to pass on our past experience to others, including our off spring. I think the learning of a deer when crossing a road goes one of two ways... just another walk in the park.... OR OH $hit...there is a 4,000 pound chunk of steel....Under this case there sure is no ability to pass anything on...lol

Welcome to the sport and pay no attention to the other sites....this is all you need...lol. seriously though. I have take more deer from the ground than in stand and up until i quit smoking this fall I have done it alot with a Cig hanging out of my mouth. The sport is unpredictable and the best advice anyone could give you is....don't get caught up in the gimmicks and just enjoy the experience...learn a little something....enjoy time with your Dad (by the way...the 35 is a great brush gun). Good luck

I will be down to camp but I have mixed feeling. we had some heavy snow so that knocked most of the golden rod down...plus. Snow on the ground...plus. cold temps...plus. but that heavy snow and the cold temps will make still hunting rough and very crunchy...minus. new moon...plus. forcast of wind...minus. what does that mean...I have no freaking clue. But I am certain I can't get them from the couch. Good luck guys -
Hell, WNY...I have folks working for us that I can't teach simple tasks like that in a 2 week period..lol
