The cost of a used Matthews . Lol. Ill look into it, not many on the market so its tough to get a fair value. I paid 830$ stripped last year. If I had to guess, it has >500 arrows through it, So its mint. Not expecting 800... but wouldn't turn it down. Idk, I'm not in a rush to dump it, pm me an offer ? ( reasonable please )

Yea, that's my next step... thanks though !

I also have a hard case for it, just in case that's a deal breaker for anyone wanting to trade. I'm open to cash offers and price could be for stripped bow or loaded. Truglo fiberop sights, whisker biskit, limb saver stabilizer and hard case. Ill prob just keep my arrows either way.

Thinking of trading back to a new Mathews. Not firm on selling yet, would love to trade for a Z7 or z7 extreme. Love the elite, super fast, super quiet, awesome bow, transferable lifetime warranty... just feel like I was more comfy with my Mathews It is the 2011 model in camo. Just a thought right now... anybody interested ?

Try putting him to bed at night and sneaking in while he's roosted the next a.m. hopefully u put him on the ground before he has breakfast

Anyone else have any problems with the birds being quiet?
TreeGuy replied to jake03's topic in Turkey Hunting
Been hunting southern Erie and Catt county's.... I can honestly say I have heard about 5 total gobbles since opener. Today was my second 4 day 5am-noon hunt in a row, mixed with a couple quick morning hunts here and there, so I have been putting in my time ! Finding a few fresh tracks and hearing a few hens but other than that this year has been a bust. I'm far from quitting but very discouraged. To me its no fun calling in a quiet tom... I mean don't they know the key to any relationship is good communication !!??! Either way, I hate tag soup so lets hope things change -
I thought Turkey slept upside down like bats ?? Lol. I pack my blaze hat for situations like that..... I call it the victory hat ! And I commend your friend for not shooting back !
-
And the more i stare at it the more I feel I'm right.... I'd bet 5$ one of your neighbors left their beagle out that night
-
We have prob all been there.... it sux. Def know my gun shoots a slug like pattern at 15 yards.... I would throw a shot or two out there so you know what ur working with for next time ! You'll get em, and I'm sure he didn't fly to the next county
-
U using any decoys ? If not that could be your reason.... as far as the calling, ill typically shut up once a tom is in sight. Let him gobble all he wants, if he sees a hen, and he came all that way, he will prob keep coming if ur calling or not. Plus, u don't want to " educate " him on your calls.... good luck ! Its a tough part of the season to find a hot tom, be thankful u heard the gobbling that u did so far !

Do the deer search dogs swim ? Lol
-
That's a big boy on the cam ! As for the swimmer... if he made it across the lake, I'm guessing he made it through the season. Maybe somebody should use a life guard tower as a stand next year.... I'm sure after a long swim he will give u plenty of time to get a nice shot, u just better hope he doesn't try and swim back once he's got an arrow in him ! I never tracked a deer through a lake sounds like a challenge though

nice buck i got on trail camera yesterday
TreeGuy replied to Zack Kolodziejski's topic in Trail Camera Pictures
Ha, at first glance I thought u were gonna get bashed for shooting a 2 yr old... then I saw the big boy out back... indeed he will be a bruiser next year ! And then you have one for the year after -
heron is a cool and detailed pic.... but how often do u get a big ole owl on a trail can !? If the contest is pic then I vote heron. If its trail cam pic I vote owl..... both are cool pics either way !
-
great pics ! Ditto on the get out there and get some, I'd much rather see dead coyote....
-
Awesome pics and so far looks like ur shed hunting is going great ! I only have one beef with you, put down the cam and shoot them coyotes with a gun !! :-)
-
Thinking positively about next year, I'd like to see some antlers drop mid October :-)

Mechanical or fixed broadheads?
TreeGuy replied to Forest Hunter's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
Rage, never had a problem, 70#, 29.5". Looking forward to the new line of rage as well, a huge new 2 blade and another designed specifically for turkeys.... rage in the cage is a saying I live for ! My old man swears by muzzy fixed, 50#,30". Has had issues but has also thrown alot more arrows than me ! Use what shoots the best for YOU. And follow manufacturers ratings for #'s and spine/ grain of arrow etc. -
sure am ! I like using the bow too... if conditions allow
