Newest Deer Attractant

Ok, first off, pistol pete- u have made your point with your fancy red bs.... leave the guy alone. I used Antler ice last year for the first time, boight some doe n heat. I have always used scents and have tried alot of them. I always found that the younger bucks were attracted. Long story short... i used it for the first time and had a mature buck literally come running in looking for a hot doe. This year i bought the ASU and have used it when hunting from the ground multiple times. Everytime i see the same thing, deer come in, sniff around and go right back to what they were doing, so it works. I like the stuff and cant wait to get me some doe n heat once the rut comes around. Shawn is a good guy just trying to get his name out there, why would he sponsor a site when he gets responses like these???? Good thing u idiots dont even care to try and hear him out and help a small business in NY.... form your opinions, make your stupid comments, act like you know everything about everything. All im saying is all the AI products i have used have worked so far, as they are supposed to, better than anything else i have tried, and i like the fact its made in ny....but to u that are so judgemental, its not like this is a forum dedicated to hunting ny... oh wait it is! -
Wish i bought the jacket too.... love them so far. Soft and quiet, very warm but never hot even when walking, holds in some nasty smells- which i have tested thoroughly ! I was actually surprised one morning by the ability to hold in what was coming out..... camo pattern/ realtree ap looks amazing. Good size/ easy access zippered pockets with two hand warming pockets ( up high and allow you to get your hands by your crotch). mainly they are very comfy. I highly recommend them and will be getting the jacket to match when funds are available.

I bought a huge roll from tractor supply, it was about the diameter of a paper towel rol. It was around 30$ and they have lasted 4 years so far. I just carry that and my hamer tacker which i find to be 100% more effiant thn nailing or using a traditionalstaple gun in a back pack. Cant tell ya how many acres i have done this way and it works great.

New hunters need to be prepared for "after the shot"
TreeGuy replied to PWGUNNY's topic in Deer Hunting
I carry 3 pens in different locations, one i keep close to my body to keep it warm! And i carry an extra knife, both are razor sharp. -
One of these weekends it will be favorable weather.... maybe...hopefully! Headed out to the tower stand, its close and i have to finish a siding job around 9.... ugh!
-
Phade- u hunt near brush, thats a "mistake"
-
Oh, well now i feel silly i even said anything! Even still, never a "mistake" with the rpg?
-
I have seen some bucks locked on doe, but when i hear gruntin wheezin crashing and fightin then ill believe its "on".
-
Why not try both? Or get a cam where u dont hunt so u can see the activity? Either way, its nice to be surrounded by lots of food! Good luck!
-
I think im gonna start hugging my deer once they have passed on to deer heaven, so they know i meant no disrespect when i took its life. I may even invest in a swing like contraption so it can"sit" comfortably while i gently "process" it. Maybe i should take the " remnants " and bury a nice grave for the left over remains.... just a thought

I had a button buck last year who would visit me almost daily. He too had no tail at all, wound wasnt as bad as this one but still bad... oddly enough he has made it and is a basket 6 this year. I was pleasantly surprised to see him! Love to let em go n watch em grow

So, your telling me that you have perfected a shot so good, gun or bow, that they ALWAYS drop immediately? Cause apparently i "screw up" alot, especially with the bow. Sounds like u havent done much hunting.... just sayin. But really, how many deer have you killed, and what do u use as a weapon?

Im a big fan of a challenge, not that i like the thought of losing a deer( at all) but i have been known on occasion to be on my face in the dirt looking for blood. Only lost one that my father hit but had tracked it for 3 days and 6 hrs with deersearch. Drop after drop for mile after mile, literally. But we all have to admit, if they run out of sight after the shot it is the best feeling in the world to see that blood trail. !

If ur not even close to confident in ANY shot, DONT TAKE IT.
