Last year in 8P I had a lot of woodcock. This year a ton of grouse no Woodcock yet.

So that shot of pain or shock can be for compressed optic nerve? It scared the daylights out of me. The only reason I didn't go to the ER was that I was completely fine in a second or two, just some mild throbbing.

I have always had neck pain. This year it git a lot worse. Turning my head really hurts after a few days in stand. Now I had two jolts or something like that from a nerve in my neck. Feels like a baseball bat hit you for a split second. Hunted all last week that was a long stretch but when it gets colder it may get worse. Will see the doctor this week about those jolts. They hit out of nowhere. Someone said its the optical nerve being compressed?

10/11 morning hunt overcast should be raining by 9. We are leaving by noon. Hope to see something this morning

10/1 evening hunt. Warm almost 70. I hunt a stand by the soybeans. I t just happens to be the day the farmer shows up to cut them! Didn't see anything so I got down around 6 and walked around a bit. Saw 1 rub. Brother was almost run over by three coyotes on his way out.

10/11 Morning sit I went to a new stand and saw three doe. My brother wasnt very far from me and he saw 6 doe a spike and two big bucks cruising together. They headed towards me but drifted off. They were two of the same bucks in my trail cam picks. A two big 8's. He also saw a fisher. I'm switching over to a stand by the soybeans for the evening hunt. The shot deer yesterday was full of beans! lol

10/10 Morning sit I saw 8 doe finally! My brothers son in law shoots this 5 point. Spine shot right under the stand. Arrow went through spine and heart. Early season young bucks have small necks I could put my hands around it!

10/8 didn't see one deer on each sit 10/9 the same as the previous day.

10/7 afternoon hunt no wind 50 degrees overcast the deer were hungover nobody showed!

10/7 Morning slept in raining outside. Will hunt this afternoon. Brother his son in law and best friend will be up around midnight. 4 of us will be hunting for the next 4 days.
