Let it unravel. There has to be a fall girl and she was fired. He knew about it and did nothing because he called Port Authority on the NY side and asked why they opened the lanes. Like I said time will tell and this one smells a bit too fishy for me. -

Oh yeah are we forgetting about this scandal…………... http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/10/politics/christie-bridge/index.html?hpt=hp_t2 -
My need for 20 feet comes from the spot I hunt. I hunt the edge of a thick bedding area. From the stand the property is on an incline for about 40 yards. The 40 yards is hard woods. So if i don't get up high enough there are spots where you are eye level with the deer. Just makes sense to get a bit higher.

Oh yea baby!

Way too cute for doe, he couldn't of pulled off the jeans she was wearing and the tattoo that was showing when she bent………………ok-ok back to the topic.

Ok that is fake but I thought this was crazy. I was waiting for this photographer to get an spike through his head or torso. watch around 3:30-4:25 it gets rough. -
Just to be correct it was a Biologist not an officer. She didn't have a gun and was very cute!!

Sure thing.

The only problem is the stands I have need a bigger platform and the seat suck. I will be buying a couple new ones this year and still use the old in the spots there in.

All good info folks thank a bunch. Yea Phade I have been hanging a stand in the same tree year after year, make no sense. I have plenty of the 15 foot models just want to get higher in some spots.

Governor Announces Support for Crossbows in NY
First-light replied to Tinlodge's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Honestly I think it is a good thing. I'll eventually will buy one and hunt with it. The huge buck I kill will go on my wall just like the others I shoot with the gun and bow. Friends will congratulate and pat me on the back and life will go on. Bring it on………..killing a deer with a bow is really cool, killing a deer with a gun is cool and killing a deer with a crossbow will be right in the middle!!! -
Look 4SW I believe you have a deer farm but this is what she said. They took the head off the doe we shot on Monday for CWD testing. I said yea wasn't there a conformed case reported not too long ago in PA? She says yes and the problem originated in a deer farm. So I'll take her word that this was the cause and has been the cause in past reports in other states. I guess it sucks for you but if your going about things the correct way on your farm no problems, right??

I'm thinking about moving to 20 foot ladder stands for a couple of reasons. As we get older the hang-on stands are a pain to take up and down. I like leaving the ladder stands out all year, the hang-on I bring in. In my mind they are a bit safer going up and down the ladder. My question is to those who use them, which has the most room, base to stand on and a real good seat. My 15 foot stands are ok but I could never stay in them all day. That extra 5 feet especially for bow hunting is key. What do you think? Thanks, FL

I just talked to a wildlife biologist about the new case of CWD in PA/MD border. She said it is once again coming from deer farms in the area.

The program, known as the New York State Adventure License, would be optional and would only be open to those who purchase "lifetime" sporting licenses or passes, not those with day or annual permits. Sportsmen and women would be able to add an inscription noting their various permits on their driver license when they renew with the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Hey gang, Had a heck of a day at spots 9 and 10. We had 4 hunters and saw a total of 23 deer. We pushed and pushed all day. Only one of the deer was a buck. I didn't shoot at the deer I saw, all were small does. My brother missed the buck and a doe. My niece had a chip shot at a doe and missed also. My brother in law who came all the way down from Burdett NY scored his first LI whitetail! 2.5 year old doe. Real pretty and a nice size. Weather was real tough we had rain and wind most of the day. The key was pushing them all day. DEC biologist said a couple of bucks were brought in but nothing really big. It was an average day for them. Enjoy the picture!
