Brother hunted Otis Pike today and saw a 6 pt had no shot. Plenty of sign and some open scrapes.

Is the horn the first thing to go when the deer gets stressed late season? The horn is "dead bone" but I imagine at the pedicles there is blood being supplied so they stay attached?? -
This whole thread brings to mind a video some Michigan boys posted about doing deer drives in Iowa. Watch 11:00-22:00. So much bad shooting and they come away with 3 deer.

Not much gets filtered these days. He decided to take the shots, harvest the deer and post the video. By doing this you open up yourself to all kinds of interpretation. Good or bad nothing illegal about it, just gives us something to bs about.

Hey just talked to mu buddy from a stand in Maryland, he just took 5 doe in 8 seconds......lol actually he hasn't seen a thing all morning and that feeder is just 30 yards away. Must have some crappy corn in there! lol He confirmed 10 doe in one day if you want to burn all your doe tags.

Nothing wrong with it, you can take 10 doe in certain areas. I just wouldn't shoot up the woods like that. Ruins the whole hunting experience for me, that is just me. If there was a scenario where a wounded animal could get away it would be that. His first two were shot and eventually would of died but he didn't know that. He opted to shoot the last two before finishing the first.

Shooting 4 deer in 9 seconds does nothing for me. With that said the camp next to me is owned by guys from Maryland. They have so many deer down there and a very liberal doe harvest. They actually will not shoot any does up at the N.Y. camp because they fill the freezer back home. I guess I would rather see a hunter take these deer rather than a sharpshooter....
