First-light

I had a small 6 pt come into rattling. Kind of gave it up through the years. If you have ever witnesses a buck fight or just heard the sound from your stand you would think it would catch the interest of any buck in the area or maybe not................ PS back in the day......I was one of the first to purchase Peter Feduchia (spelling) and Len Larue's video on rattling, even bought the fake horns in orange!!

I have signs and stickers on windows, two video cameras, motion lights and a neighbor that asks questions last!

That is so sad. The world is not a perfect place and we all need to do a better job to get along. Disgusting someone would send a letter like that.

All good info you guys put out there. I think one more conversation needs to take place before the law gets involved. "Where I lived in the past,If a persons pet animal made whineing or barking for more then 15 minutes continous you could call the police,1st. time they would get a worning. 2nd. time they would get a fine.After that the animal would be taken from them and put in a pound and the owner woul have to pay for there upkeep." Same in my town. That will be my course after the next conversation.

That is what I'm afraid of. I like the idea of recording and playing it back.

I live in a residential area. Only there two weeks now. My next door neighbor has two dogs. They are out most of the day when they are at work or on the weekends. There is a 6 foot vinyl fence between the properties. The bigger dog barks all day long. The dogs were out on saturday all day. I think I went to sleep at 11 and they were still out. As soon as these people get home they let them in and the barking stops. Sunday I went in my backyard and the bigger dog knocked out a panel in the fence. His head was through the opening barking away at me. At this point I went over and introduced myself and told the guy what was going on. He said the dog was friendly and introduced me to it. He was correct and the dog seemed fine. I told him about the all day barking and jumping on the fence on saturday. He said there is nothing he can do about it. At that point I didn't press the issue. I could call code enforcement and put a complaint in. I'm thinking about talking to neighbors, as I get to know them, to see what they have done. It will get unbearable for me at some point. Anyone have any luck going down this road. Clearly the owners fault here.

Thanks all! We had a great time. It started at Dr. Franks vineyard Friday afternoon and continued with company until sunday. It was great and it all went so well. We had so much food and ammunition to eat and shoot! The party was awesome, two roasted pigs and so much other food. We did a lot of skeet and target shooting and ATV poker runs. My neighbor puts on an awesome party and his whole family comes up from Maryland. They are really some wonderful folks. We did get the Lop rabbit my daughter wanted. Here is a picture we took on the way home! His name is Snickers... I was dissapointed with the videos from the trail cams. We had 75 vids on one camera and 15 on another but just 1 good video. The trigger speed is too slow. When we saw video of us mowing or quading it capurted the person behind. Have some jpegs showing some good deer but the video is blank. Put them back on picture mode for now. I am truly blessed with the camp I own, the memories with my kids and family that ae made there and having one of the best neighbors anyone could ask for. I guess it pays off to have some guests come early (especially the ones who can run a tractor,cut wood and woman who love to shop). Fields and lawn all cut, cut a cord of wood and frig is stocked with food. My niece said she will have a whisky shooter and a cold beer waiting for me when I pull up this afternoon. Aint life grand!!!!! PS-can't wait to check the cams-1 month of video.

Just asking but why do you need a stand for the target? Is it too heavy to move around, I don't know, never had one.

That is exactly the conclusion I came to the other evening. Next year I won't upgrade the ATV utilities but will go out and buy a used tractor. Good point G-Man.

This vacation is so needed. Got my move done two weeks ago, in the new place and settled in. I leave tomorrow morning with my girls for camp. We have 12-14 people staying for the weekend, some are already there. We do a pig roast this time every year at my neighbors place. Should have close to 100+ people this year. A lot of family from Maryland that bring seafood (crabs)! Rest of the week will be laid-back. Shoot bow, put up some stands and get that bunny my daughter wants. Think I found a person in Prattsburgh that has a Lop for sale. Also upgraded my phone to an iPhone 5. While in Verizon I also bought a jet-pack so we can get internet service at the cabin. I also have to pull the cards on the cams. Both been on video for the last month, hope to have some to share! Have a good week and by the way I didn't win Powerball last night

I think its a good thing to have in place. We bow hunted last year on that weekend. Didn't hear any shots. We did see two huge shooters crossing my fields in the am hours. My daughter turns 14 next year I know where she will be sitting!
