  1. Very cool, never saw something like that.
  2. It's a tough nut to be able to retire on Long Island and stay in the same house you brought your kids up in. Nothing gets cheaper, that goes for everything not just what we pay in taxes. Everybody should have a plan "B" near retirement age so you don't spend your "golden days" bitching about how expensive living is. It's no way to go out!
  3. Wooly, you lost 20lbs, man you better start eating boy!! Nice picture!
  4. I'm on my 5th home. Closing costs always exceeded the estimate. Worst case was 2500.00 best case was 250.00. Closing costs in NYS suck, plain and simple. Everyone has their hand out, oh and remember the title person gets a tip.....
  5. 33Canuk, There are people out there that do adhere to the rules to a tee. That is what a forum is all about. It takes all types and I really don't think Buck was on a podium shooting hi mouth off. I knew right off the bat that picture would attract the attention of some. The mineral lick is lillegal, black and white. I do believe there are some hunters on this forum that follow these rules, when they see something illegal they will let us know. Now if you really want to have a conversation-can we talk about sunrise and sunset, legal shooting hours down to the minute!! lol
  6. If both parties don't start working together "America" as we know it is over. End of story....................
  7. These are all nice. I'm going to make a few. Thanks
  8. Good luck Buck. Make sure you get a good inspection. It will all work out in the end and you will be real happy!!!
  9. Thanks all. Grow they look like your trees. They just aren't as full at the bottom. Doc I'll use the garden hose trick and help them out a bit.
  10. I'll wait for Bubba to comment, then we'll know if it's the real deal.
  11. Next time I'm up i"ll do that. It's amazing how the 4th and 5th year how big they are. Beautiful trees, well worth the time and effort.
  12. Some bucks hold their horns. This is also true with Doe that grow horns, they don't drop every year.
  13. So I planted about 250 white spruce about 5 years ago. They came from the Saratoga nursery. Most of them made it it and are 4' tall and full. There are a couple that are real thin and at least 6' tall. They are really bending over. Will they fill out over time or should I help them out and drive a stake in the ground and tie it up for support?
  14. I agree with Bubba. At this point in my hunting life I enjoy mentoring young hunters and seeing someone new harvest their first deer.
  15. Good point Buck. We had a branch, when windy, tripping the camera. Would of been an easy fix out in the field.
  16. If you are going to use the tablet to check trail cams you may just want to buy extra sd cards instead. I thought the same thing ( I have a couple of different tablets) but opted to buying a couple extra cards.
  17. Nice Wooly. I remember all those stories about a fawn every year in that area.
  18. Thought this was pretty cool. God working magic on my food plot or maybe a pot of gold buried there!
  19. Been doing the same thing. It's amazing how you can mow through a field and create a food plot. It also causes the deer to walk these trails right to you!!
  20. Wood stove goes in September. Will be at the end of the slate floor.
  21. Wooly, no need for help in that dept.!!! Located in Steuben county.
