  1. So they are in there but movement is limited because of the water level, correct?
  2. Bubba, You talk about the swamps being flooded that is the one thing my neighbor talks about all the time. He has never seen the swamp with so much water. I guess that keeps them out if it's too deep?
  3. I dont know, an aftermarket exhaust usually costs more than a factory one. Actually the after market ones are cheap.
  4. I guess as the season wears on we have to change tactics. We are creatures of habit and would like to see deer from our comfy zone all the time. Getting out and still hunting will definitely at any time of the year run you into deer. Here is the equation: less hunters/sitting in the same old spot=zero deer! Break you habit and bag a buck!
  5. Hey Eddie, I really respect your enthusiasm for the sport, I'm sure your son's have the same drive.
  6. Great 2nd deer!!!! Bubba I love your camp, very nostalgic looking.
  7. My neighbor has been out every day for the last 7 has not seen any deer and very few tracks. Tons of coyote tracks across the area. area 8P
  8. Be up in two weeks to close her down, I have hot dogs in mind that weekend so any deer is fair game! Do the whole deer in hot dogs like last year, they were great!
  9. Sorry but the ones I see coming down the road have a low rumble to the truck, could be why their road hunting. Can't afford to fix the truck or feed the family!
  10. 8P- my neighbor been out all week and has not heard one shot and hasn't seen a deer. After the snow he called me and said he's never seen so many coyote tracks. Time to step it up on the coyote hunting this January.
  11. See them all the time, I make sure I have some orange out in my woods to let them know there might be someone out there. Even if it stops one jerk it's worth it. Your right about the description!
  12. We'll I was going to head up this weekend to get my venison and do a bit more hunting. I was on the fence about going or not. I'm battling a bad cold and would be driving six hours on 3 hrs of sleep. My brother can't come so it would be solo. I do have a 3 day weekend planned for the end of season for smoke pole so I'm going to pass this weekend. My daughter is also getting her first trophy for soccer Saturday morning, important I be there. Good luck to you guys this weekend the moon is in your favor!
  13. Eddie, How did the electric deer hoist work out?
  14. Still can't decide if I should go up. I have 150lbs of venison in my neighbors freezer that I have to pick up. Have a nasty cold and can only hunt 3/4 the day Sat and Sunday morning? ??? ? 6 hr drive?? What to do??? I have a three day weekend for smokepole planned. My neighbor took two doe this week but still hasn't seen a buck? The moon will be right this weekend.
  15. We don't put a thing into the meat, just love it the way it is!
  16. I am going to try to post an article from Field and Stream from a few years ago on the impact of coyotes on the deer herd. I thought it was real good, a quick one page read that got straight to the point.
