  8. Nice truck. I heard the Ram has a great ride. Nice that you got the larger bed. My chevy order is going on 9 months now. Its crazy but it will all work. My buddy is getting me the extended warrantee for free with some other extras. good luck with it.
  9. Good luck took me a week to beat it.
  10. We just keep on mowing certain areas on the property. Just the mowed grass weeds bring in the deer.
  11. I have a Polaris 44" mower. It is old actually was in my neighbors field for a couple of years. I offered 50 bucks for it. Had to rebuild carb but other that that it ran great. I think they all do a good job.
  12. Thanks I love it there. I totaled up about 40k for the original cabin. The extension cost 18k.
  13. Wow thats sucks. I'm thinking about hot water on demand. I also have temp baseboard heat. That will become permanent when I get up there. I have a propane stove in the cabin and a wood stove in the addition. This is the addition to the cabin the way it is now. Full basement underneath.
  14. 2007 prices as I can remember........ Cabin shell, driveway and grading $15,000 Electric REA electric charged me $1,200 for a pole (I got a free water heater in the deal 50 gal) Run electric under ground to cabin, 200 amp service and wire inside cabin $2,600 Water Dansville water works did the well 185' I believe it was around $6,000 Septic Tank and leech field $5,000 Kitchen and bath cabinets $2,700 Wood floor $800 Plumbing is all PEX. I made the system with blow out lines for the winter. Everything gets drained and blown out. RV antifreeze in traps. Cost probably $500. That is ship lap on the walls and ceiling. At the time it sold for 27 cents a board foot. That came from Watkins Glenn lumber. I really have no idea on final cost but if I had to take a stab at it $3,000 The small heat stove and cook stove is propane. Those were the big ticket items. 3 of us did all the finish work. That saved a ton of money. Total $36,800. (2007 prices)
  15. Nice and not a bad price. It's funny this thread came up but this year I'm putting a bunk house near the cabin. With me moving up there full time my guests want a 16x20 bunk house.
  16. Here are some inside finished pictures. The bath does have a stall shower and a 50 gallon hot water heater.
  17. Yes I do. My neighbor is the only resident on the road. I needed one pole to bring electric to my cabin from his. Had a well drilled 185' we sit on an aquifer, plenty of water. Septic was put in by the builder. Had to submit plans for cabin and septic to the town. Kitchen cabinets were custom made along with the floors. Tried to keep all work done by locals. Got to know them real well, a lot of good advice. I'll dig up some finished picts and post so you can get an idea of finished area.
  18. Yeah it was a builder from Canisteo who owned the company but was able to grab this Mennonite crew at a really cheap price. I could not resist. One mistake I made was going with 2x4 walls. If you look they put a furring strip on the 2x4's and nailed to board and battan to it. House was wrapped and we insulated. Problem is too many areas for those damn Cluster Flies to get in. Feel free to ask any question PM me. Good luck hopefully this fall I move to it full time.
  19. This is my place built in 2007. Size is 20x24 plus the porch. 5 years ago I added a big extension off the left side with a full basement. The original cabin has 1 bedroom, loft, eat in kitchen, bathroom and small sitting area. As you see it this was built by a Mennonite Crew. It also included grading and a stone driveway. House is built on pilings. Back then this cost $15,000. I finished the inside with my brother.
  20. That's so close yet so far with Covid! Maybe next time. Would of been easy my kid lives in Riverdale.
