Feel better!

Once the bear started showing up in my area the just kept on increasing. Every once in a while one of us gets lucky to harvest one. I've shot a few times with the bow but never connected. 8P

EHD is endemic in the southern states where there are annual outbreaks, so some southern deer have developed immunity. In the northeast, EHD outbreaks occur sporadically and deer in New York have no immunity to this virus. Consequently, most EHD-infected deer in New York are expected to die.Aug 4, 2021 Some hope?

Classic looking!

Think about how warm its been. Need a frost to kill these things. Same goes for all other insects. Mosquitoes are all over the place. Not a good situation for sure.

So this will be an interesting season. I haven't been to the cabin or checked trail cameras since early July. This nerve issue I'm having really put me out of action. Brother in law mowed the camp every month thank goodness. I will drive up October 27th and stay until the 1st. Check cams do some bow hunting and take care of cabin needs. Opening weekend will be 4-5 of us. Me, my brother his daughter and son in law. My daughter has a soccer tournament so I might be back with her right after Thanksgiving. Good luck friends, be safe!

I lost Mac my Wheaten Terrier 3 years ago. About two years before Macs passing we brought into the Family Kit who was a white Lab. They became best friends. Even when Macs eye sight was failing they played and Kit was gentle. Just a few pictures of their life together. Two amazing dogs. No need for condolences we went through this just thought these pictures were nice to share. Mac's last night with us kit watching over him. Dogs rock!

Thanks for your opinion. Good to hear from someone on that side of the fence. No pun intended. -

Maple Hills had been a closed herd since 2015 and had done everything possible to keep CWD out, said owner Laurie Seale. In addition, the farm was attempting to cultivate a CWD-resistant herd through selective breeding.
