    35° no wind an inch or 2 of snow already on the ground. No snow falling during the hunt.

    That's exactly where i recently seen it. I'm gonna stop there in tbe morning for some extra dmps might pick up a bottle of antler while I'm there.

    I know this post is 7 years old but I've nab wanting to give antler ice a try. Just wondering if you're still using it and if so if you've had any more action as a result of the antler ice?

    Im off every saturday sunday monday until deer season is over. I have to be home to get the kids out of school so Mondays make the most sense. I may take. A friday morning or two off and hit a spot not to far from work.

    Nice pics that second one is pretty sweet.

    Sharpened these really nice with the diamond stone and shot them a few days ago and point of impact were with in a half in of poi as my field points.

    Yup a darker color would definitely look really sweet some hunter green or something even like that it looks nice.

    I think it would look sweet if elite was some how in camo inside of the camo but you could still see it.

    Move it afternoon the morning hunt and hunt it that afternoon element of surprise . When i hunted state land i would do this a few times a season and usually had pretty good luck.

    I've never had coffee anything before i swear i was gonna try that coffee granola but it ended upside down in the stand lol .

    I usually don't take snacks in but if i do its trail mix . Last year opening day of gun i took a 3lb bag in for an all day sit. Over 6k calories.

    Big boss XL hang on heavy as hell but huge seat and platform. 2nd any of the crazy large permanent stands with a roof at greg/gmans place. Nothing like being completely dry when it rains.

    I didn't forget it but this morning i get settled in to the stand go to put on my quick release and realize i dropped my quick release some where between the car and stand. I opted to stay put and sit without it didn't want to ruin the area. I found the release a few hundred yards from the stand.

    About 15years ago opening day of gun season i was hunting out of a tree stand on a shelf over looking the river bottom of letchworth state park . 30 minutes in to the morning a couple of doe are running the river bottom i toss up my mossberg 500 fire off 3 rounds at the largest doe she tips over. I pull put my range finder 126 yrds i put 2 of 3 shots right in the boiler.

    I have one up at camp I put it in last year but only used it once so far stopped up at the cabin when it was about 20 degrees in the cabin tossed it on and in under 2 hrs i had the main room of the cabin in to the 40s . the room is roughly 25x30 it also has an optional fan to blow the heat around. I give it a 2 thumbs up. O yea also really easy to install most of them you can use either propane or natural gas on them mine has a port for each.

    They have the knock offs on amazon 6 for $18 they are the exact same as the montec i haven't had a chance to use them yet
