  1. When I walk to my stand in the dark no however when I walk out mid morning I have one knocked. Not sure why because if a jumped a deer I don't think I would have time to get a shot off. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

  4. Seen this on Facebook earlier. Hopefully he had the heart attack. What a painfull way to die. On a lighter side maybe the sow was plotting revenge for a year after he stepped on her piglet, LOL. I know I know not a joking matter but I couldn't resist Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  5. Why wait a few days? Will it spook them, almost like the boy who cried wolf. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  6. .357 is always on the hip during gun season! Regular stuff in the pack. Flag tape, water, calls, drag rope, binos, rangefinder, hot packs. Flashlight on my hat and tags in my wallet, release on my wrist. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  7. Death sentence! Useless waste of oxygen Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  8. Went out this morning. Warm around 55 or so. Drizzling rain turned to all out rain. Tries some calls and got no responce. Left the woods a little before 9. I did see a small 60 pounder on the roadside heading into the woods on the ride home. Good thing there is 6 weeks of bow left. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  9. congrats to the hawk on a nice kill. Now who gets to eat the rabbit, you or the hawk LOL
  10. Used the fawn in distress this morning. Had one come in behind me but never offered a shot Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  11. Congrats, I need to get my arrows and hands bloody soon Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  12. I missed out on a bow course for my 12 year old. Now he has to wait until next year to bow hunt. It sucks. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  13. Awesome video Blake, Congrats on your first bow deer. I'm also chasing my first bow kill this year. How far did he run??
  14. I already have them, LOL. More so just tor playing around with, and because my phone speaker isn't loud enough, hehehe
  15. Alright thanks guys. I'll try anything about now.
  16. As I sit in my stand and haven't seen a deer all day, I wonder if calls will make a difference? Last bow season I called in a 6 point but that was early November, not October 1rst. Are they pointless now?
  17. Blah, Blake my phone won't let me watch your video. Gonna have to wait till tomorrow. Congrats anyways, by the comments it was a good shot. I'm nit having a lot of luck with my self filming. I need a cameraman lol. I saw 7 deer on the way to camp yesterday. Nothing today although 2 Turkey's snuck within 10 yards of me this morning. Scared the crap outta me when they flew off. They picked up some movement (I was on the ground) Sitting in a ladder stand now till dark. Playing the waiting game.
  18. Grouse buzzed my head early this morning. Just had 2 turkey sneak up behind me and scare the ever living crap outta me!
  19. I bought a Sony handycam off Craigslist. Seems to work good so far. Self filming is a whole lot harder than I thought it would be LOL. Might have to hire my own cameraman, hehehe
  20. The state land in Rome across from the prison isn't bad. Wasn't overheated the last time I was there. (Couple years ago). It's southern tier also if it matters. 6P. Good Luck.
  21. Heading to my camp/lease this evening. Excited to say the least (as is everyone I'm sure). Broadheads and knives are sharp, even the bow is sighted in Gonna spend a couple of days there so who knows. Good Luck and shoot straight to all!
  22. nice pics, looks like a good watch to setup on Good Luck
  23. Really?? Looking foward to the details when they can be released
  24. I used my Kitchenaid grinder for 10 pounds. (5 of venison and 5 of pork butt) It worked really well even though I recommend taking a couple breaks, 10 pounds seemed like a lot and the grinder wasn't happy with me LOL. However I really think that it is better than hand grinding. I also recommend getting a food saver/sealer. Worth its weight in gold IMHO.
