  1. great pic, every year I say I will set up my trail camera on a gut pile and never do. Let me say it this year too. Maybe one day LOL
  2. Man I sure am gonna miss them twinkies, hope the same thing doesn't happen to my girl Little Debbie. Then I will have no choice but to loss weight!
  3. I couldn't get the time off from work this year. My opening day won't be until Tuesday or Wednesday. Save some deer for me guys. It was my best bow season so far seeing deer every hunt. (nothing in range). Planning on laying the smack down!
  4. I bought my garmin for $100 at walmart. Works for what I need it to do
  5. My 800 acre lease is coming to an end this year. It was a fun 4 years for me and some of the guys in camp have 25+ years there. Now next year I am going back to hunting state land but I will be doing some homework over the summer and looking for new land. I already have a lead on a 50 acre piece in the same area as where the camp was. I would love to own my own someday but only time will tell. Until then I will hunt the land that I already pay taxes for, state land!
  6. congrats on the buck Fletch, sorry I have been lagging on the journals. Keep the stories coming!
  7. Now this is Bowhunting Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  8. Why not set up a target in the woods instead of shooting at trees? It's awfully hard to pull arrows from trees. Kinda late for sighting in the bow isn't it. Also maybe change your pins to 20 30 40 instead of 10 20 40.
  9. I have a savage model 110 in both .270 and 30-06. Both are great guns, fair priced and deadly accurate. The .270 has less kick but not really by much. A joy to shoot em both. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  10. Something tells me he doesn't sound like a law abiding citizen so he won't care if he can legally carry a gun. Scums of society Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  11. What was he expecting law enforcement to do say "well if he was hunting my deer I'd shoot him in the face too!" Idiots. There goes a couple years in prison where everyone will hunt "his" deer Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  12. Great story Wooly. Man you weren't kidding about that rack!! LMAO But what a shot placement. Congrats man you can't eat the antlers. I wouldv'e shot him too if nothing else just to show off the rack! I say mount it! LOL
  13. congrats, boy that back end is messed up! Nice recovery
  14. I can see not letting a 4 year old walk aimlessly through the woods on a "drive", but hitting a call for ya, I think even DEC would give you a pass LOL. How else are they going to learn!
  15. The year he got SHOT?!?!?! Well that's a way to open a story. Hope he turned out alright. As far as the question at hand I've never read anything about carrying a muzzleloader and shotgun during regular season. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  16. Awww man that sucks, same thing happened to me during early bow except mine was a doe. Now any time I feel like its been too long since I've seen a deer I grab my camera or phone! Doesn't always work LOL
  17. My buddy did that a couple years ago. I was in a stand a couple hundred yards away and heard the psssst. Starting laughing cause I knew exactly what that sound was. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  18. Just watched a buck push a doe through the woods. Nose to the ground and grunting. He didn't care about my calls. About 75 yards. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  19. WOW that was fast, and he didn't even take any beer breaks
  20. my wife just showed it to me today and told me it will be my Christmas present. They also have mustaches on small rings that go around a beer bottle so that when you take a drink it looks like you have a mustache
