found it * Residents and Nonresidents must purchase a hunting license to be eligible for Bowhunting and Muzzleloading privileges. If you purchase both Bowhunting and Muzzleloading privileges, you will receive one Bow/Mz Either Sex Deer Tag and one Bow/Mz Antlerless Deer Tag. Both tags may be used in either season.

thanks- so I can basically use it as an either sex tag during bow season
-
just to get clarification: Is the ML tag good for just the time after regular gun season (normal stated ML dates) in the southern zone OR can it also be used during regular bow season? I seem to get mixed info on this topic

Scent control: Getting dressed/ transporting/storing clothes

if you use a large plastic tote, I suggest also putting some small evergreen branch trimmings or whatever local scent inside -
the pic stamped june 28 seems early to be shedding but it must be . looks fine other than that

for those of you that have the bulbs now that you will be planting this October, what is the best way to store the bulbs until then ?
-
good luck, when is the flight out?

yah keep checking . A friend of mine called the local archery shop that usually does a bunch every year and they said they are waiting for DEC to call them back for the last month to confirm dates. I checked the CT DEEP site for my nephew and they have slim pickens also.
-
cool, are those usually genetic and will form every year or could it be from am injury?

Best Hunting Boots
mac replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
you will probably want to have multiple styles as some have mentioned. the rubber Mucks have their use depending on season and terrain. the LaCrosse tend to run pretty snug so if you going to use when its colder with thick socks, stay with the Mucks or Cabelas Duratrax. For other 8"-10" high options try on as many as possible different brands and styles b/c they are all a little different depending your own foot and whether they are uninsulated or have 800-2000 grams of insul. -
thats what i was hoping for but Beretta confirmed they were not the optilocks- otherwise I'd be good to go
-
yah 2 light aluminum silver rings that would classify as OK. I'd rather look for something a little more heavy duty and just do a one-time setup and be done with it for shooting at the range and regular season hunts. I may end up putting the stock rings out for sale at some point here. they may be useful for someone's setup

Tikka t3, I may have to buy a few options and see what fits/looks right and return the rest
-
I am considering a few options. Do I go with a EWG picatinny rail with Leupold PRW rings, Talley low rings & base set (ring and base made together as 1 piece for front and 1 for rear) or DNZ 1 piece scope tube ? if anyone has any experience good or bad any of these setups, please share. this is for a 30.06 thanks

aug 15 is usually the date

For those who shoot the Browning A or X bolt, or the Weatherby Vanguards -would you say the bolt is as smooth as the Tikka ? -
Im starting to kick the tires on a new 30.06 synthetic stock and stainless barrel. I may move up the price range above the standard Remington, Savage, T/C, Ruger models- kinda sick of recalls also. Any opinions and experience with the Weatherby Vanguard S2 or Tikka T3Lite (add the limbsaver) ? or anything else . Mainly for deer and occassional range session. Trying to see what we are getting for an additional few hundred bucks vs the base brands listed above.

Recommendations for a decent spotting scope
mac replied to moog5050's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
havent shot 22's out to 100yrds with it yet. Mostly 308, 30-06. I would hope you would be ok with it. depends on where you buy from, you may get free return shipping that optics planet often has or wait for their special sales -

i use the Leupold Ventana 15-45x60, should be out there around 249. the tripod isnt top notch but the glass has been perfect for the range shooting 100-200 yrd -
anyone have or install this type of pvc decking ? just looking for some first hand experience of how it holds up over time and its grip when wet or snowy.
