  1. DAMN!!! Heck of a lot better than lawn gnomes..
  2. So sad…He was always happy. Or at least seemed to be. It was a shock.. R.I.P.
  3. Mid September I'll use my climbers, in the back yard. Kind of a shake down cruise. Have at it !
  4. Had grilled chicken breasts…...Add some Bucks BB-Q rub and let the set for an hour. Sear them on the girl ( I mean grill) Then put them in foil add hot banana peppers and a some of the juice from the jar. Seal up the foil and cook on medium heat for about 1/2 hour 45 mins.
  5. "Perfect" bullet placement might be a rare thing, while hunting, but GOOD bullet placement is whats needed. If you don't have that then don't take the shot.
  6. How about this…..Every one use what ever works best for them. From .222 up to the biggest magnum loads, there are guys who will say "that round sucks for deer." Thats based on their own experience and opinion. Not yours.
  7. Remember that western where John Wayne and the murderer are about to get into the gun fight. They both approach each other from opposite ends of the street at high noon. John Wayne yells "DRAW" then the murderer, not wanting to face the good guys or a trial, draws his pistol and shoots himself in the head?? That was great.!!!
  8. 7, with good behavior. LOL!! He lost control during a high speed chase, and ended up driving into a ditch. Then he shoot himself in the head as officers approached the car.
  9. Yup……..whack em through the ribs and they're all done. I prefer A little bigger bullet diameter, than 243 but thats just me. I know two guys who use 223. They get bucks every year. No blood trails ….but bucks.,,,LOL!!
  10. I have killed deer with it and it works . I just don't like that it leaves almost no blood trail. Small holes. Could be the ammo I used though. Remington cor lokt 100 grains.
  11. Other peoples opinion of what you decide to put on your tags.
  12. My oldest starts college in a week or two, my youngest is about to learn to drive, my nephew, who's diapers I use to change, is 30 and getting married tomorrow. I could go on and on. Remember when you were young and summer seemed to last a full year?? Its all good though…….
  13. My slug gun is zeroed about 2" hight at 50. Rifles at about 2" high at 100. Works for me.
  14. Pink?? Why not green? Green is a more versatile color, studies have proved it!!!!! HA HA!
  15. I hunt a local farm and another that is in Allegheny County. I have had better luck, on good bucks, when I set up well into the woods off the fields. Look for trails that go from thick nasty stuff, into more open areas and then to the field. set up in the more open stuff, closer to the thick crap than the field. My 2 cents.
  16. Wouldn't it be great if they turn out to be 100% pro hunting/anti trespass AND they have a pet zebra??
  17. Its bound to happen with a lot of topics. Same thing will happen with "Whats the best rifle caliber for deer?" or "How far of a shot would you take with a bow at a deer?" It wouldn't surprise me it "Whats your favorite color?" went on for pages too…LOL!!!
  18. I use to own two. It still ticks me off that I sold them. A 1960's Marlin 336 in 35 Rem and a 1950 Savage 99 in 300 Savage. Great rifles.
  19. It does look like a Savage.
  20. One pin. Right in the boiler from 0 to 25
  21. I just can't see cultivating a piece of land, planting seed and letting it grow, and pouring a bag of store bought factory made feed stuff, as the same thing. Food plots have to grow (and maybe they won't) and can only be placed in certain spots. Farmers fields and food plots will sustain wildlife before, during and after deer season. Store bought feed and attractants are meant to attract deer to one small spot, while the hunter is there and it can be placed anywhere. It can't be put out in the middle of a block of tall pines where there is no sunlight & poor soil. If no deer come into it a "hunter" can move to a swampy area and pour some feed out there. No hits? move to some deep hardwoods and pour some out there. Guy who hunt plots and fields can't bring them to different locations. I get the "they both attract deer" thing but no way are they the same IMHO.
  22. Zebra #3. We got a mini herd going already.
  23. Most guys can't accessorize but you nailed it with that rifle/socks combo….LOL!..Nice rifle.
  24. Oh crap!!!……... It says Im gonna be a Cuomo!!!
