The neighbor puts out cams, so I don't bother. But as of last week just two small bucks and a ton of does, some with fawns.

I have taken a few deer with that ammo in 30-06. It worked just fine. If it flies good use it and good luck.

I could see it happening. I remember, a few years back, watching a huge buck dart across Rt 17. First he stopped a a 5 ft. wire fence and was looking behind him. He was obviously being pushed by hunters. He jumped the fence and ran like he was in an open field, straight across all 4 lanes of busy traffic. He made it to the other side but it was close.

Cross bow broad heads, especially mechanicals are built stronger to withstand the higher power of xbows. Standard heads may come apart or deploy in flight

Good idea. Looks like it would work just fine. I think you're right to stick with water for weight. Once you fill it with sand or gravel it will be a bear to move around, when you want to transport or store it. And if you want to empty the sand or gravel out, make sure you have the day off. LOL!!! -
I have had bears within bow range. I had zero desire to shoot them. Move along Yogi……Its just me.

No need to get that bent over it and no need for the a$$ nasty language (although I get the frustration) You seem like a good $h!t but if it gets to you that bad, just leave.

Leave them…Maybe take the heart and/or liver, if you want them, but leave the rest. Critters will eat them. I have seen gut piles totally disappear in less than a day.
