    Salt

According to the last episode of MeatEater where he made bear bacon regular salt and some "PINK SALT" which apparently is a preservative and prevents bacteria as well
  3. A long island deer would not go into a trunk, unless you like tics
  4. From what I heard you would be permited to bowhunt jan weekend as well as the first week of jan before shotgun season begins
  5. Switched to fixed this year slick tricks standard 100's, always used rage and to be honest only lost 1 deer to a bad shoulder shot any other deer went 40yrds actually shot one deer arrow entered behind the shoulder and exited bethween the shoulder blades out the tpo of the neck But stalking they suck period ya goto draw back and inevitably they are open. I want 1 head for both stalking and sitting and Rage just doesnt offer that confidence
  6. One too add to mark a blood trail at night..... A snap glow stick ya get them for $1 in craft stores before halloween Just take it with you when you leave
  7. Orange hat and vest its not worth playing with stupid, and many hunters that are out there are in fact stupid
  8. No need to wax the servings anyway
  9. 1C You can get a 100 dmp if ya want them
  10. Okay so im paying for the fact they wanna run a hunting ranch but not "really wanna run a hunting ranch" Like opening an amusement park and charging 100k admission "but sir only 2 people a year are permitted to get in" makes ya feel special
  11. I would imagine the 10k price reflects more the exclusively and lack of permitted hunters rather than the quality of deer there are other places that you can find large deer. Hey entertain 25 hunters at 10k versus 50 at 5k
  12. http://www.realtree.com/turkey-hunting/articles/steve-rinella-on-cooking-wild-turkeyor those interested....
  13. Tempted to try the way steve rinella did on meateater, basically he sliced the breast stuffed it with raisins garlic onion etc.. then wrapped it in turkey skin and finished it on the bbq
  14. i believe all sports authorities are phasing out the outdoor (fishing hunting)
  15. Society like to label things as too dangerous take for instance pit bulls they arent any more dangerous than a shepard or a rottie however when they do attack the are effective. Some may say overly effective. Take for instance black talon bullets, outlawed why? Too effective? Last time I checked bullets were designed to kill. Unless your shooting at paper but I dont belive they were designed for paper
  16. Not sure about the "knowingly" however ignorance is no excuse as they say Fyi for those that have unregistered firearms that fall under this law I would avoid mentioning what you have online... you do know your IP address points to your house. No need to express what a firearm aficionado you are.
  17. You may have heard on the news about a Southern California man who was put under 72-hour psychiatric observation when it was found he owned 100 guns and allegedly had 100,000 rounds of ammunition stored in his home. The house also featured a secret escape tunnel. By Southern California standards, someone owning 100,000 rounds is considered "mentally unstable." In Michigan , he'd be called "The last white guy still living in Detroit ." In Arizona , he'd be called "an avid gun collector." In Arkansas , he'd be called "a novice gun collector." In Utah , he'd be called "moderately well prepared," but they'd probably reserve judgment until they made sure that he had a corresponding quantity of stored food." In Kansas , he'd be "A guy down the road you would want to have for a friend." In Montana , he'd be called "The neighborhood 'Go-To' guy." In Alabama , he'd be called "a likely gubernatorial candidate." In Georgia , he'd be called "an eligible bachelor." In North Carolina , Virginia , Mississippi , Tennessee , Kentucky and South Carolina he would be called "a deer hunting buddy." And in Texas he'd just be "Bubba, who's a little short on ammo."
  18. you can do that but that kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it? i mean when the zombie uprising comes
  19. or you can make the modification and avoid the registration process all together and still be legal
  20. it's a personal choice if you wanna risk it but you should be well aware of the reprecussions in todays paper. ALBANY, N.Y. — Come Tuesday, owners of assault weapons in New York will be faced with a choice: Register those firearms with the state or potentially face a felony charge. Some gun owners have long threatened to ignore a requirement to register assault weapons under the SAFE Act, a set of strict gun laws approved by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and state lawmakers last year. With the registration deadline set for Tuesday, they'll soon have their chance. "We are not asking our members what they are going to do, nor are we advising them what to do," said Tom King, president of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association. "When someone asks me, I say it's a personal choice and I don't want to know." The consequences of ignoring the deadline are severe. If a gun owner is found to have knowingly violated the registration requirement, they could face either a misdemeanor for failing to register or a felony for illegal possession of an assault weapon.
  21. 24hrs till NYS adds a bunch of "unresposible gun owners" to the books in their eyes
  22. Yes In self defense i would. But tis never gonna go down like that.
  23. please dont say bush was elected by merit and not his pops influence... please dont tell me obama who never had a job a day in his life is one of "The People" and if you think there will be a all In revolution you are dillusional, just as dillusional if you think your vote counts placing the ballet for the best Liar As I stated before if you choose not to comply with the law you choose to face the repercussions you become what will be labled as the irresponsible above the law gun owner exactly what they want
