In th eearly ml season in the north, there is a weel where it is both archery and Ml. and it is illegal to carry both.

I think that is illegal. You need to choose which implement and take it. I may be wrong, but I know during ml and archery season here when they run together, it is illegal.

Me personally, I would not hunt with any guy who needs to drink to stay warm or any other reason, any more than I would get in a vehicle with anyone who has drank. If and when he shoots someone after a "swig or two", I will be interested to hear how you justify that, unless you are the one he shoots. or the moon phase has changed their patterns or they have went nocturnal. You guys describe my typical hunting. See a few deer then go days without seeing any or hearign any shots. On that note, I am off to camp for the weekend.

I use google earth can scan right in on camp and what ir looks like there frm my computer or cell while at camp.

we traditionally go out for an AM hunt on thanksgiving. This year I didnt. I hunt 6a and 6c, and from what I am seeing, the harvest seems tp be better than the past few years. I have a friend who cus up deer. When I was there Saturday, he had 12 deer on the floor to cut up. He says his business is up so for about 20 percent from last year.

I always check the weather to see when a change is coming. I also check the wind, always spray down with scent eliminator. I also check the moon phase closely and set my hunting times accordingly. I try to be in the woods when all the factors point to the highest percentage of seeing movement.

the things mentioned that make deer smart is actually instinct. They are creatures of habit. They do not think, they react to the things mentioned. If they thought, they would all go check into the holiday inn for the fall.

bow season starts on 9/27 in the north. It seems to work. But egular season stars earlier too, so it isnt all abot bow hunters. We also have in parts an early ml season and a late ml season. I am seeing more deer this year than I have in the past few, so something is working. If you alowed more inplements, more peole would hunt. I know i know I was thinking about cutting in on the bow hunters my bad.

well actually I took my buddies permit to put a der in his freezer. I have gottewn two this year, which I tagged with my own tags. My firend is very busy at work. Of the two I got, I gave away probable at least half. I would say I am the elast greedy person you will ever meet. But you are entitled to your opinion. Hidehunter if one deer is half your meat for a year, I iwll gladly take one late muzzleloading season, and you can have the entire deer and I will process it. All you will have to do is come and get it.

ok since there are other infractions it makes this one ok? If you need meat and do not have tags, take the time you would be in the woods and get a second job and buy meat. Too bad he didnt get a tag boo hoo. I go years without one in my area. So what I have less venison. That is the way it is. It is about entitlement and bragging rights.

I never said I shoot every deer I see. In fact this evening while sitting, I saw a decent 6 and passed on him. Partly because I did not have a tag for him and partly because if I had a tag I would have passed. I still wait for a response about button horn bucks that get shot every year. I think we should eliminate dmp's so they can grow too. It is much easier to hold out with one or two dmp in your pocket. I get a dmp every three or 4 years. If you only had one tag for the entire regular season, I doubt you would pass on so many deer.

I hunt form the ground most of the time. I do very well. I laugh at people who think you need to be 20 feet in a tree to kill a deer. I have to wonder how people who hunted before ladder stands ever shot a deer. I shot a 190 pound 8 point this fall. I was standing leaning against a tree. He walked 40 yards away, I shot him. Pretty simple. OH yeah I wear a green and black wool coat and green wool pants. How I do so without all the best camo is remarkable.
