ok so 7 pages of dribble about the same thing that has been argued at least 5 times in the past is ok because it is about hunting? I see.

AS I recall every one griped when cross bows first became legal and there was a lot of posts about them and the same concerns all that posting will scare away the children. Realistically if a few posts about a very important subject such as the attack on gun rights scares them away, they were not committed in the first place, and more than likely will be voting to have your rights taken away. This is and should be a hot button item right now. I am receiving updates frequently on a state level about changes and ideas to get people out of office and to vote. I have a hard time not posting them. But hey if people really do not care, there is nothing I can do to change that. Sad when the status quo really are not interested and prefer to hear about which bullet shoots better in my gun or what is the best scope than about the future of gun rights. To each his own I guess.

Deadline nears for voter registration
bubba replied to Doc's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
If people are really interested in who is running in their district, they will do the homework. To gather all that data and post it here for a few to look at and others to complain it is here is way more than I plan to do. You can spoon feed just so much. getting them register by the dead line is tough enough. -
I go to camp for a few days at a time. Early ML here in the NZ I go to Camp Friday mid day and stay through opening weekend of regular season. But camp is only 18 miles away, so I can jet home if needed. I enjoy the quiet time. I hunt off and n during the day spending most of it in the woods. Sometimes I go back to camp for lunch sometimes not.

Aint technology grand.

I think nothing about you. My simple point again is they are entirely different. No where near the same.

Put the time money and effort into growing a crop then tell me it is the same

Dumping a bag of sugar beet powder on the ground is in no way the same as taking the time to plant a crop monetarily or any other way. It is the lazy mans way to cheat. There will always be cheaters. When you hunt in primarily agricultural land it is tough not to hunt near a food source. My biggest plot is right next to the area on my land where no one is allowed. A deer sanctuary so to speak. I also plant many acres of alfalfa and clover I bale for my beef cows. Should I not hunt anywhere near those fields? I also supply a food source for the deer for the winter. last winter if they did not have that, I would not be seeing many deer this year. So many more aspects to crop planting that benefit the herd than pouring a bag of minerals on the ground and waiting for the deer to come to it. By your logic most of the state should not be allowed to be hunted. As I have said many times. real hunting is not like it is portrayed on tv. Sit over a bait pile and wait. If you think nature plays no role in if a field of corn a farmer plants, watch what happens when mother nature does not supply the right weather to make it grow. Again your logic here is flawed. I spent close to 400 dollars in clover alfalfa and forager turnip seed this spring. So far so good as far as growing weather. and it looks like it will all prosper this year. If not I am not only out she seed money, but I would be buying hay and feed for the winter for my cattle. Nature can be your best friend or worst enemy as far as crop production goes. She decides whether the filed grows or not, not you.

You are comparing something that is legal to something that is not. How can there possibly be a discussion. The powers to be say that it is legal to hunt near a food source produced by nature, but not legal to pour stuff on the ground. And you complain about people who are doing it legally but not illegally. Your logic fails me and I am sure most.

as long as the subject is ok with all I guess so.

I am sure they have the same people updating this that are building the database for ammo background checks. Expect that one to be ready right after November 4th
-
And some of you complained about political posts. 7 pages of dribble over nothing. I think I will start a poll to see who wants baiting posts removed from the hot list. They sell it because people buy it and it is legal to sell here.

Thanks I will check it out

It was great meeting you Paula. Hopefully someday we will hunt together

"Today's Bowhunter"...need some help please
bubba replied to Dr Ignominious Death's topic in General Chit Chat
http://www.bowhunter-ed.com/ this is the link listed on the dec web site to use. However when you open it, it does not include New York State. call your regional office and ask them which state to use as it varies from state to state -

If you go to the EC web site and search under education it is there. You cal also get the book and as I call it homework from any DEC regional office. Are you hoping to get it completed and jump into a class? If so you still need to register at prior to the class to be able to attend. If you are registered for the class now, they should be bale ot get you the necessary book and questionaire. The one online you need to complete the test and bring the certificate with you. There is a fee to take the test. -

At camp we have a generator. I buried a culvert pipe in the spring with an inlet and outlet. The pipe fills with water. There is piping form there to a pump. From the pump it goes to a 150 gallon storage tank we have up near the roof. It gravity feeds from there to the 30 gallon propane water heater on the second floor. From there to the first floor to the shower and kitchen and bathroom sinks. The waste water goes into my sewer system When the generator is on we flip the switch and fill the storage tank. Not the greatest pressure but excellent for a shower and dishes.

Taking a leap of faith on a hunting license
bubba replied to Borngeechee's topic in General Chit Chat
LOL with all the horror stories posted here about state land over the past few years (getting shot at, fighting over deer etc etc) you wonder why a person wants to find private land. it is like you are sending him to slaughter. -
Nice area to ride in for sure.
-
There are no safe act regulations against this he is in canada
-
The date went up as the license is now going to be effective on 9/1 rather than 10/1. So they wanted the extra week of sales before
