  1. I remember as a kid staying at our cottage on the st lawrence and at night we would turn the lights out and shine a flashlight around the room and there would be glowing spider eyes in all the cracks. Something to make you go blaaahhhaaa!!!!
  2. Good info for someone who uses carbon arrows. I am aparently still in the stone age with my aluminum arrows.
  3. Was weed wacking my smaller plot down to dirt the other day and guess what I found growing all over it? Clover!! There hasnt been any clover planted in this plot and there wasnt any there the last three yrs either. So where it came from I dont know.
  4. Nice!! I was out the other day for a while with no luck!
  5. I wonder if they have a # for deer killed by cars. I see probably 50 or more dead deer a yr on the 5 miles of 26 north I travel every day to work. Use to be worse before they gave out all the doe tags. Had to drive that section of road with my windows up it smelled so bad from the ones that went off the road to die. It wouldnt suprise me if 400,000 a yr were killed by hunters, disease, cars, predators. And it might even be higher.
  6. Ive never had a problem with the weather shield. And ive hunted in blowing snow freezing rain and down right down pours with it. But then again I really dont mind a little rust on the outside. My guns are tools and I dont care if they look pretty as long as they shoot straight. I refuse to get wood stocks anymore because after one season they are beat to hell.
  7. I mowed a 40ft x40ft section of head tall grass down one time on my grandmothers property to make a food plot and the DEA was there the next day looking at it to see if it was a harvest site.
  8. I always thought stainless steel was just weather resistant not rust proof? You still have to clean and oil the barrel to keep rust off stainless because the oils on your skin are so corrosive. I have a T/C triumph with weather shield on the barrel and it has never rusted as advertised. I have never oiled it either just wipe off and put in the gun cabinet. http://bulletin.accu...t-rust-you-bet/
  9. Weedwacked the weeds down to dirt again. Will let them grow for 2 weeks and then im nuking them with roundup.
  10. I just found it on another site,i dont know the guy, just thought it was worth mentioning. Nyantler just did a pc on it here. http://www.nyantler-outdoors.com/big-onondaga-co-sheds.html
  11. Unions are good for nothing! Except keeping sh--t birds employed. It was a good idea in the begining, now its run by crooks and politicians. Got a dumbarse where I work that keeps trying to start a union. The way I see it, the state taxes me and the Fed taxes me and now a union wants to tax me to so I can keep working to pay all three. F- you!!! To bad about Dino, I really liked there BBQ sauce that I will no longer be buying.
  12. Was out for 6 hours today flipping rocks, looking for the other half of the big shed with no luck. Def harder when things get green. May have to except defeat.
  13. Seriously, filters? Its a big enough pain to hike out and put the cam up correctly and now you have to worry about filters to? Send it back!!!
  14. Good reason to make sure you have something to stop your arrow if you miss or have a pass through. Surgery was performed at Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee to remove an arrow from the body of a 7-year-old Campbellsport girl following an apparent accidental shooting. Aryanna R. Schneeberg is listed in stable condition. The girl was struck in the back with an arrow Sunday night while walking on the 100 block of East Main Street. The location is on the opposite side of the street near the Campbellsport Police Department. Fond du Lac County Sheriff Mick Fink said that a bow, arrows and other items were recovered as a result of a neighborhood canvass. Fink said five detectives, himself and a Campbellsport officer worked on the investigation until around 10:30-11 p.m. Sunday. “It appears to be the result of a stray arrow,” Fink said, adding that the victim was walking with 2-3 other girls when she was struck. The items recovered in the proximity of the incident will be transported to the Wisconsin state crime lab, for analysis. “We will hopefully get to the bottom of it,” Fink said. The incident was reported at 5:37 p.m. Sunday. Aryanna was transported by Campbellsport Ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital and then transferred to Milwaukee Children’s Hospital by Flight for Life helicopter. Most of the arrow was left in place until it could be surgically removed.
  15. Yeah thats more than sunlight, you gots a problem.
  16. Looks like the bear I got on the trail cam the other day. I complain about the bears alot ruineing my deer hunting. But I dont think I could ever shoot one unless it was in self defense.
  17. Went up and pulled my trail cam off the future plot today and its amazing what a little rain and some heat will do to a plot. I weed wacked it down to dirt last month and the weeds are already knee high as of yesterday. A full burn off is in order sometime soon. I think I will mow it first then let it get green again and glyophosphate the crap out of it.
  18. Dang now thats a plot, what I could do with that baby.
  19. Naw, to rich for my blood $50 for a box of corelocs. Ill stick to the 30-06, when hunting season rolls around 30-06 corlocs go on sale for 15 bucks for 20 and you can find them anywhere in a pinch. That way I can clear a few trees out of the way first then shoot the deer and not break the bank. Plus being semi auto it will hurt a lot less to.
  20. I wonder if they still hang people for being a cattle theif? Ive been waiting to use that one.
  21. Awesome pics!!!! But I hate them furry little bastages!!!!
  22. For killing clover and all other broad leaf use 2-4-d available in concentrate from a ag supply store its very inexpensive, mix it by direction or for ground ivy about 5% solution. this will killa dandelion, clover ,ivy and broadleaf plant in your lawn(its what you lawn company uses in so low % a solution they have to keep coming back..lol 5% you'll see the dandelion dead in a few hrs..lets all grass including crab grow only for broadleaf . Will have to try that, I usually just get the weed and feed stuff because it says it kills weed. But like you say they just keep coming back because the % is so low. And dont even get me started on the F'n dandy's!!!! I might throw a little clover in one section of the lower food plot. It gets direct sunlight most of the day so it should grow good there.
