What time will you be in your stand / blind / spot on opening morning?

Although I haven't seen them lately they weren't "DEER" check stations More "HUNTERS" check stations where they were having all hunters pull over and be checked. Guy I worked with got pulled over and ticketed for passing it. No deer or anything else wrong just ticketed for not stopping!

I am shocked how many actually have it orange on and take it off when they are sitting. Why?

Belo, i have hunted about 30 or so gun seasons along with the archery season so I have a general idea of what happens. Now HONESTLY do you really think the youth weekend hunt effects the deer the same as the first week of regular gun season?

If I go out with my son bow hunting this weekend its not a problem. If I go to the same spot with him but with gun it upsets people. Whats the real difference?

I assume AR 's would be used for a more mature herd and to help bucks reach a mature age? In order to get the mature deer you need young deer. How many young deer do you need to get the mature deer that the ar people want?

disagree Those that favor antler restrictions should crunch the numbers and come up with realistic deer populations needed to support 1 buck/mile that's older then 3 1/2.

"It SOUNDS like the deer wasn't too wild. It was shot basically in the middle of the day just casually eating in a field...lol." Shot a 3 1/2 old 7 pt in the middle of day in field. I was standing in field looking down at the clover that was in it. Deer just came out of woods and starting feeding to me. I was on my knees by the time it got to field but it just fed, got to 20 yards and stood perfectly broadside! Lots of wild deer feed in the middle of the day!

Unless you need a compact sized tractor (garaged or whatever reason) I would go with a full/regular sized. When we looked at tractors the compacts were just as much or more in price.

About 1 foot. Put some cut limbs behind me and a small buck walked right to them from behind me, Thought for sure he would see me. It was fun until he got too close and I thought those horns will hurt. I was looking at eyelashes! I just froze and he turned a little and walked right by me,

You have plenty time. IF YOU PRACTICE! Find a bow that fits YOU and is comfortable for YOU. Don't worry about brand or what others shoot, bows are way better then the person shooting them.

After you spray round up on the plot you want to kill how soon can you start tilling the land and expect the plants to fully die?

I don't get it. What does the lifetime sportsmen get? All i get is a chance to get is registering for marine license once instead of every year on a computer? ACCESS!!! That's what people need

My problem with hunting in high winds is the accuracy. Arrows move, bow moves, in hand, trees sway its tough in high winds.

Just trying to realistically get a feel of how many deer you need to get to 1- 4.5 year old buck per square mile.

Looking for a good population of what would actually work. Realistically Problems I see with Sam's are I don't think it's feasible to get a 1 to 1 ratio. Some biologists don't even recommend it. The other is he has 1- 3.5 year old and 1- 4.5 that means nothing ever happens to a 3.5 year old? I think something is bound to happen to him.
