  2. You can adjust the weight. Did good for him for awhile, basically got him into the basics of archery. It has a whiskerbiscuit on it and came with a single pin sight. For 40 bucks we got our money out of it.
  3. Figure phade will chime in soon. Its just a tactic ive always heard was a bad idea. But seems to be that i may have been steered wrong...who knows. Never hurts to add something to your bag of tricks!
  4. I started my son out on the bear bows available at walmart. This year he has progressed to a browning micro midas. Probably let him shoot that for awhile and move up eventually. Ive never had one of those martins but i also have never heard bad things about em. Ebay might be a little cheaper!
  5. I know 8f will be on there. But i havent seen the list either....someone will chime in who knows!
  6. So ive been hearing and seeing alot of talk about hunting deer beds. I guess im looking to get some more info on it from hunters who do it. Any tips or tricks would be great!
  7. Saw a big boy moving thru the thick stuff today around 1 and 4pm....i may be pulling a few all day sits!
  8. All these awesome posts...i thought i was on myspace for awhile lol. Cabin post up the pics! Then they can hackjob that thread as well. Yes im going off topic but somebody already sent this into outerspace so whats the point lol
  9. Headed over to my father in laws (8f) apparently he has an overabundance of does lol
  10. Did hell freeze over? Sent from my SCH-I200 using Tapatalk
  11. Heck no! Then they wouldve been the greatest kids on earth! My son is 10 and if he could hunt he would. All the guys i hunt with would love nothing more than to see him take a deer with any weapon. Doe button buck big buck doesnt matter. And we would take all the naysaying and put it in a barrel and burn it. Instead of whining about it, how about helping the next generation continue the long tradition of hunting?
  12. I have to agree with a few others...get over it. Its done and over with. Sorry if these youth may take some of your target bucks but thats life. If it was a guy on neighboring property some would probably whine and complain just the same. Havent heard of any accidents or deaths so to me it was a success. I also have a feeling that some that are complaining are also the ones who say its been too hot out to hunt. If thats the case then you have no viable reason to whine. These kids got em from the woods, not behind a computer. JMO
  13. Wow! Love it when a plan comes together! Great buck!
  14. Everyone who will eat this likes it spicy lol no need to make it bland. But a good idea nonetheless!
  15. Thanks for the replies. I think im going to have play a little trial and error with this one.
  16. Ill have to load up a field point in my quiver. Then again last night i was on the ground and there was no chance of grabbing another arrow. I didnt shoot because i wasnt sure if the season was open. After the bunny hopped into some thick stuff i checked on my phone...oct 1 dang
  17. Got some venison off the doe my dad shot. Want to make some jerky out of the hind quarter. Anybody got a good recipe that is both sweet and a little spicy?
  18. Where do you aim on a rabbit? Head shot like a 22?
  19. Limbdriver gets my vote
