  1. That's awesome man! I haven't had a ciggy since I started this post back on the 6'th and I was a hardcore chain smoker.(close to 2pcks/day) I've been hitting the 20mg nicotine oils to start with and that curbs my urges just fine. Nice thing about these e-ciggs is you just take a few drags when you get the urge and you're not committed to smoking an entire cigarette. Some of these flavors are delishious, lol. So far I've tried the tobacco flavor, strawberry mango, grape, and swordfish. The D-90 is a nice camera a lot of photogs are still using! Ggood luck!
  2. All great looking bucks, but I got a thing for that two year old with the splits! No doubt he's gonna be something special down the road! Looking forward to seeing how LFN finishes up when the fuzz is gone.
  3. Can't say I've ever pulled an over nighter in the ADK's, but I have spent a good amount of time in the dark in unfarmiliar territory. This may sound like a trivial suggestion, but I've found those inexpensive reflective tree tacks to be very valuable around my campsites especially if you'll be exiting the immediate sight for any reason.(bathroom breaks, firewood collection, water runs.., etc) Chances are you wont be carrying your GPS when nature calls in the middle of the night, and all the flashlight power in the world wont help you find your way back to camp if you accidently get turned around in a thicket. Mark a few trees during daylight that fan out from your camp leading to these locations and you just might save yourself the frustration of sleeping in the fetal position while everything in the forest tries to suck the blood out of ya until the sun comes up!

    Good one

    Mountain lions?
  5. That field has been an absolute BUST so far this summer from my usual observation post. Everything I've seen so far has been near 3/4 to a mile away where I'm forbidden to go. I haven't seen anything of much size up there yet either. I haven't had the time to put into it like I usually do, but eventually once activity picks up and these deer spread out a bit towards the end of the month, I'll get back after them and get a few shots up from my evening sits.
  6. I got my start hanging off the side of trees from home made wood stands. The big platforms and railings helped me overcome my fear of heights. The last time I stepped on a wooden stand I fell through the deck and the only thing that stopped me from hitting the ground was a 2x4 floor support I managed to grab with my nut sack on my way down. That was the LAST TIME I ever step foot on a wooden stand!
  7. One last bump. Going once..., going twice... Cam runs 4 different modes: 1- Trail Cam 2- Video (with sound) 3- Plot Cam 4- Hybrid Cam Also will run on 4-AA batteries instead of 8 which I thought was also a nice option. If you're low on alkaline battery stock, or simply recharging 4 at a time while the other 4 keep your cam functioning in the field, you wont miss a beat. Deal includes everything pictured here minus the antler!
  8. I thought everybody knew him by first name!
  9. Just what I needed...., something else to roam around the woods to look for! Actually, I really enjoy this kind of post that sparks me to start researching and exploring for new woodland treasures. I know I've seen this stuff before, but I'm having a tough time remembering where. I found a forum dedicated to wild roots and herb hunting some of you might find interesting, and it doesn't even have a political section to filter out,lol http://www.wildgrown.com/index.php/Ginseng-Forum/
  10. Happy B-day George,lol
  11. That sounds about the same as my area of Erie County. One year after filling all my deer tags, I decided to take a walk with my gun and go "bear hunting". It felt like I was doing something illegal, so that was the last "bear hunt" I ever went on,lol
  12. I just watched six of them fly into a gap in the siding. I think we may be facing an overpopulation here. I'll break out the Raid and try to thin the herd some later!
  13. LMAO- that's him without his disguise! He's probably still got evidence on him!
  14. Every year around this time I start to get excited I haven't been nailed yet all summer....... then I get blasted when the goldenrod turns to make up for it,lol Last year I had the same thing happen to me that happened to Grow. Walked over a ground nest and got hit on the calf by a yellow jacket. The swarm came out of the hole and I made a run for it. A 1/4 mile down the creek I stopped to catch my breath and they were all over me again. I think I got stung 5x's total over a mile dash through the timber to my front door! One of these days I'll learn to put some pants on!
  15. All 3 for $60 TYD Prefer not to separate for shipping cost purposes but would for additional $5/cam if interested individually #1- Moultrie D-55 IR #2- Moultrie L-50 #3- Wildview EZ-CAM
  16. $125 TYD firm. Excellent cam. Will include 8AA rechargeable Energizer batteries, 16GB SD card, and 4 battery Energizer charger.
  17. $20 TYD No stakes. Jake has arrow diameter hole through tail where I added fan.
  18. When I was researching Boric acid for some taxi work, I learned it is an effective weed and bug killer, as well as a preservative. Apparently it disrupts the photosynthesis process and kills off the weeds(plants). When applied to persistent troubled areas of ground, it also prevents re-growth. It's also a main ingredient in many insecticides that kills off ants, roaches, spiders, etc, by attacking their exoskeletons from the inside when they clean themselves and ingest the powder. Also kills unreachable larva back at the source when carried back to the nests by the target buggers. In theory, it's a good mild multi-purpose poison to have around the house for many killing occasions, lol
  19. Good stuff guys! Glad the mermaid didn't get angry you sent Pygmy home smelling like fish and cheap booze while covered in Jenny's black short hairs! Great shots from your day on the water!
  20. As many times as I've dropped by this post to gawk at that stud, I'm still at a loss for words... You're over due to kill one of these beasts yourself. Maybe this will be your year!
  21. It's neither numbnuts! It's a site you come to when you want to insult someone to make yourself feel more important than you really are you stupid idiot! BTW- what did the last chuck die from fright because you such an ugly SOB?
  22. The funkier they are, the more I like them. That's a cool one chief! We usually see one or two weirdos hanging around here every year, but I've never seen one survive long enough to become some freaky monster. I'd rather see odd racks like this on young deer instead of the "standard" typical racks of the same or next age class. Probably just wishfull thinking, but one of these days I'd like to see one of the odd ball yearlings make it past his 3'rd birthday!
  23. Got another buck with a goofy rack running around. Reminds me of a big horn sheep with that crazy curl.., hence the name, "Ram-bone"!
  24. This one will shut 'em up Deerthug!
