I've been feeling kinda left out of this thread since it took this "classy" turn. You guys will be seeing more of my adventures with "Jenny" in the coming weeks, whether you like her... or not! We'll go all kinds of places together this summer, lol I actually bought a 24oz'er of something I'd never even think of trying today just because of this thread. I'll post a negative review of that if I throw cookies tonight, lol
-
Didn't have anything to do today so I took Jenny skinny dippin' down at one of my favorite watering holes! She was dripping wet before I even got started with her. She just loves hanging out in nature with me!

No sheds today, but I did find another dead buck. Spotted something that didn't fit in about 50yds away and didn't know if it was worth going out of my way to investigate. I should know better by now, but just goes to show even when you don't know what you're looking at, it could turn out to be just what you're looking for.....ANTLERS!!!

COORS Light all day and night when you wanna drink a lot without the side effects of drinking a lot!
-
I've never seen a fisher so I have no clue. I thought they were bigger than that though. That almost looks like a mink to me. B+W pics suckazz!

The way this year has been going, I wasn't sure I'd find a 3'rd antler on the season. Today I introduced 3 new faces to the bone pile! Nothing to write home about, but the 2 for 1 freshie set sure was a welcome sight to see! ...and another oldie trampled into the earth.

See how confusing things get when everyone starts using their real names. His name is Rick, Dan..... not Rick Dan..... I mean NOT Bill, Dan. (you follow me?) Oh crap Pygmy, Rick Howard makes the the call you senile old coot... not Bill! For the record, that is a sweet looking and sounding call Rick! No surprise that was a hot seller!

You tell 'em girlfriend,lol

Been a while since I contributed to this thread. Here's a sweet butterscotch blend with notes of vanilla and cream. It's the perfect chaser for a manly summer brew!

HOLY shiiiitte.... rob has 666 "likes". I think the devil is making him so angry lately. Either that or the crack.
-
And here I thought that was a blue ribbon horse raddish!
-
That one horner really seems to be attached to that antler!
-
The last dozen or so deer I've killed with it would have to agree with that statement!
-
Uh oh, looks like Pygmy left the barn door open! I wonder if that's where he keeps the worms..... and leaches!

Yup, I wasn't worried about it igniting it was that wet. I don't know at what point the pellets start to corrode the inside of the barrel, but I do know that this is one of the steps in the process. This was the first year I actually put a latex lid on the end of my barrel while hunting since I'd hang my ML on a hook beside me with the barrel pointed up. I have to wonder if it did more harm than good by trapping condensation in there as it repeatedly warmed and cooled between hunts. Like I said, it's never been a problem in the past. I think I'm done experimenting with new ideas in that regard. I'll keep the end of the barrel pointed down and not worry about covering it any more.

Today I decided to finally admit I wont be doing any more yote hunting this year. Time to polish up the ol' smokepole, and get it stuffed away for another off-season. So, I cracked it open and pulled the breech plug instead of firing off the last round loaded back in January. (I know it's still on) I waited for my pellets to drop out, but they didn't... I gave the end of the barrel a thump, but still nothing... I rapped the holy hell out of the business end of the barrel and STILL nothing...!!! I assembled my 3 cleaning rods and attached a jag and decided to push the load through. I hit a wall... oh shaieeet!!!! Popped the end of the rod with the palm of my hand a few times before it finally gave. 100 gr. of Pyrodex pellets came ooooooozing out like the melting end of an upside down burning candle! I panicked and completely forgot to grab the camera before I started dumping everything but the kitchen sink down the barrel. I couldn't get it out fast enough even though I was so content to leave it in there so long since this has NEVER happened to me before. .....my mistake. I have an old Hawken 50cal. standing in the corner that 2 - 14" Ridged pipe wrenches wont crack the breech plug loose from.... to this day, it's still loaded for probably 10 years now at least. One of these days I'll turn it into a lamp, lol Besides that, I never thought this could happen to me. All you guys that don't shoot ML's are missing out on all the fun and uncertainty that comes with loading your gun from the wrong end year after year.. week after week..., hunt after hunt.....! That was a damn close call, but I think I caught it just in time.

Happy Birthday ol' timer! Let me know if you want to hit the water some time. The spring "sucker" run is heating up here!

Shaq...,lol

I just called the big cheese....!!! He's on board with us!

This is one of my favorite times of the year! The weather is getting nicer.., there's no biting bugs out yet..,there's some color starting to sprout..., the critters are waking up with new ones being born soon.... I can finally wear shorts again, lol! Everyone seems to be in a little bit better mood than they were 3 months ago.

Excellent as always! I'll be watching for you guys on the Sportsmans Channel in 2017! How many dogs on the season for the DWO boyz?
-
Very cool- your grandson looks very big, old, and hairy in the picture of him releasing the quacker, lol Looks like a good time for those of ALL ages, and it doesn't get any better than that hands on with the critters we love so much!

I found another finial tip to top off one of my lamp shades today! When I spotted this one laying there, I could almost imagine the little buck bedded and scanning the surroundings under the hemlock in my mind before he shook it loose! He picked a great spot to catch some ZZZZZZZZZZ's!
