  1. I'm not exactly sure how they arrived at those numbers. When I filled out my 2014 buck tags, the only descriptive information I had to check off (report) about my bucks was # of points on right and left antlers. How in the world they can put a deer in an age bracket based on that information alone is beyond me. I'm guessing these calculations may be a weeee bit inaccurate..., or at least tweaked a bit for shock purposes.
  2. That was a misprint.... It doesn't say Willy...., it says wooly..... The sketch artist screwed that one up,lol
  3. No clue...... I'm a MEAT EATER! I like ice cream too!
  4. Not unless I mow this entire forest into a food plot. I couldn't see nothin' but treetops and stars.
  5. Dude, you ain't fooling me! Tell me where her tattoo is,LMAO
  6. Thanks for the heads up. I'll go look for it! ....which way is East?
  7. Yup- that's exactly what happened. No hard feelings between me and Blake though..... but.., me and Miranda are trying to keep this quiet so Pygmy don't find out about us! I hear he bought a drone not knowing how good a shot she is!
  8. You would be right.... except for the "pop" part, lol! But, since this thread was about good concerts, and good times, I went for something with some energy and life to them. If I'm crying in my beer at a concert, I want it to be because I got punched in the face and I'm trying to keep the swelling down... not because I'm getting' all emotional about Blake and Miranda splittin' up!
  9. What a great bunch of bucks! I'd be sitting around that field every night. Have you been videoing these guys at all yet?
  10. Shocked.., disappointed... let down.....??? I've already seen Kenny Chesney, so I already know he blows them all away!
  11. Now that's what I call cross-gun ammo! It might work well for hunting fish if they could come up with a retrieval system.
  12. Hmmmm... Pearl Jam.., Nirvana.., and Eminem.
  13. Nice! That last buck you posted the rear view of looks an aweful lot like the first buck in the first set of pics. Those brows high on the beams look very similar. I might think they are the same buck, but maybe not. That "sidewinder" buck is pretty sweet too! I love those goofy racks like that even on a 1.5 year old!
  14. Had a bunch of them here last week baked to the sidewalk, but a flock of turkey vultures flew over the other day and cleaned them all up! Seriously though, yes, lots of little toads around now. ...damn landtrack beat me to it,lol
  15. If it's a Maytag, pull it away from the wall and there should be a repair man standing behind it. Maybe he can fix it fer ya.
  16. I'll beat any pawn shop around and give you $200 cold hard cash for it...?
  17. Eating beaver out of season, lol
  18. Cuddle a coyote... it 'll make you feel better

  19. I don't get any satisfaction out of killing a1.5 yr old buck anymore, BUT ....once I see a nice 2.5 yr old my eyes light up. Last year I let the same 2.5 buck walk 4x's before I finally decided I'd had enough of his temptation and dropped 'em. I don't get much pleasure killing does anymore either, BUT last year being the first year I was allowed to hunt with the crossbow presented a new set of challenges and I wanted to put a notch on the stock so I did that too on a fatty. I never know what I'm gonna kill until I kill it....
  20. A couple years ago I carved a frog poker out of an old deer leg bone. I never got it attached it to a stick to give it a whirl, but this post reminded me of the fun I had carving that sucker and might have to give it another go to actually make another to try. I don't know where I put this one now...but I remember it breaking at that delicate point near the business end.. Bad pic yanked from some old video.
  21. You guys got me really confused here. Are they killing all your mature deer off, or just altering their behavior by chasing them away? If a yote catches and kills a mature deer during the summertime, there's probably a reason for that.(sick, injured, diseased,or already dead) Winter time is a whole different ball game when things get ugly, but even then they are conserving energy by mostly feeding on leftover carcasses from winterkill and hunting seasons unrecovered casualties. I wouldn't mind seeing a few summetime kill carcasses of dead deer (non fawns) to confirm any of what I'm reading here that would suggest coyotes are targeting healthy adult size deer with any success. Sorry, I'm just not buying it...
  22. As vague as that reply may sound, I don't think you could have worded it more accurately. Some of the bigger/better/badder bucks around here seem to take off quick, before reaching a plateau, and then gradually finishing off throughout the summer into early August filling in the final touches. The younger bucks here seem to start slow, then spike in growth so fast that growth has maxed by mid July, and what you see is what you get.(still under velvet of course)
  23. I can't answer for anyone else, but I did see and hear 2 coyotes kill a fawn once. The fawn was the only one making any noise though, so if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes..., there's NO WAY I'd have been able to say it was being killed by coyotes. I think a lot of folks mistake the yotes pack assembly and territorial howls as a kill announcement. I better tell this guy it AIN'T safe to come out yet,lol
  24. Crunch some more numbers and let me know if you've really got the problem you think you do. I sent you the answer, but don't peak.
  25. LMAO- WTH do you expect when you leave the boss alone with his wingman! If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself....
