  1. I leave most arrows full length. But I know that I can tune all of my trad bows with 200-300g heads with a 340 spine arrow. Some will also tune with a full length 300 spine arrow but not all. I have a selection of heads from 200-300 and it covers it. I stopped cutting as it would drive me nuts if I ended with one too stiff. Cutting works however if you have very consistent form and you only trim a small amount at a time. Good luck.
  2. He has a long draw for sure! Never seen so much power from a 40lb recurve. Lol
  3. 100% perfection - no lost deerTF!
  4. Going to be 300g VPA 3 blade with longbow and 125g rage hypo if the compound makes an appearance.
  5. Seems to have mistaken your earlier kindness for someone he can walk all over. I would let him know that he is on his own this year. And wish him good hunting.
  6. I like it. Confidence booster for the youngster. Cool pics Jer.
  7. Someone is kind of holding me back but his intentions are good so.........
  8. Just try and catch me when I hot air balloon hunt!
  9. Kill em from a stand, from a blind, stalk one, lie in wait, even if I were to kill one from a hot air balloon, they would only COUNT to me. No one else would or should care what I kill Biz. Really that’s the truth. That said, you are still a cheater. Lol
  10. Too cheap to buy ladders with armrests.
  11. Honestly if the fertilizer works just as well dropping it when you seed, I would prefer that. Saves me a trip. Might try it next year.
  12. I hop off my 12’ ladders all the time for a better shot. Sometimes releasing an arrow mid-air so I guess we are both legal.
  13. Couple years no 2 will be cool. High and tight.
  14. I said under 8' IF YOU ARE HUNTING IN STILTS (still moving and on the ground) - not a treestand. Cheater!
  15. I was planning to only hunt from the ground as Biz had convinced me that a stand was cheating. BUT once I learned that he now has a stand, Biz's hypocrisy confirmed that he was wrong all along. #scaredofheights
  16. Guessing from a Thai Feather Tickler - Tacks will know for sure. What are you folks doing at that academy?
  17. That is a motley crew!
  18. You always buy good quality stuff it seems. GLWS.
  19. I not sure they make much smaller than 3 moa. Probably fine to 100yds but would not be precise enough for 200yd shots. Covers too much of the target.
  20. Let me know when you need legal services. That little firm you work for just won't cut it!
  21. Geeze think what you could make by raising them and selling canned hunts. Combine the cost with the ability to mass produce. I think we have a new venture - Moog-Biz Sheep Hunts 100%harvest rates - pick your sheep before you hunt. Then we could afford a real hunt for a lesser animal!
  22. Not sure john. I always thought you want the fertilizer when the plants are actually growing as a pick me up vs when you first plant. I am no expert although the plots seem to grow anyways. Absent the tiller (which I don't have) and the timing of fertilizer, I pretty much follow the same process. Instead of tilling, its dragging with pointed instrument to turn over soil, spread seed and drag with flat implement again.
  23. Do I sense some sarcasm. lol Fair enough, not the most thoughtful comment by me. Only hunting PM that day, so hold off until 5pm or so. lol
  24. Shot my bucks last year on bow and gun opener. In a sense, I kinda regretted it, at least for bow. Gun not so much as I rarely see a nice buck then. But I sure would have liked to have still been in the game during rest of bow. It would have to be a monster for me to fling another arrow on Oct 1 - not just a decent buck.
